Just changed over from using General Hydroponics and Botanicare for years. I am now using Jack’s 321 and will let you know results in a couple months.

I started my first grow this last spring outdoors which transitioned to an indoor grow, started with base Advanced Nutrients as organic as I could find. What I’ve learned is to keep it as simple as possible and figure out the best ones for what you want to achieve each step of the growth stage. It’s so easy to get caught up in everything you read and watch and think you need 20 different things. This next growing season I am going to be starting a full outdoor grow in about 30-40 gallon pots using Gaia Greens line, was have also decided to do a side by side in the tent as well between AN and GG just to see how much difference there is and to see if I can streamline things by simply top dressing and ph watering. Cheers 🇨🇦

Which ones they used in the 2000 ?

  6. JM12Green on July 6, 2022 at 10:52 pm

Great video man I’ve moved away from bottle nutrients to dry organic amendments like Dr Earth and jobes… Cheaper easier and better results in my opinion

  7. Jahigh on July 6, 2022 at 10:53 pm

Dude I fuckin hate all the bottles!! I mix 9 diff bottle got so annoyed I measure by eye no measurements fuck that over n hour mixing nuts sucks

  8. MrPokéFitch on July 6, 2022 at 10:53 pm

After accidentally shaking a bottle of fox farms big bloom without the lid, I can say that earthworm castings and bat guano taste incredibly terrible. As well as liquid seaweed.

I’ve since mad a full switch to Aurora Innovations 3 part Uprising powder, and 2 part Terp Tea powders. So far I love it. The time saved by going to dry amendments allows me to put more critical care into each plant, and let the soils microbes work for me. Love the topic, thanks!

  9. David Stock on July 6, 2022 at 10:53 pm

Lex, did you find with Fox Farm nutes that your roots became stained brown? If so how did you manage to correct that?

  10. king Ron on July 6, 2022 at 10:56 pm

does living soil keep ph in check? imo i think so would like to see a vid on it

  11. Dan Learned on July 6, 2022 at 10:56 pm

Lex, Thanks for this new video. The Veg & Bloom line by Hydroponic Research, here in the San Diego area has already gained the respect of local growers and hydro shops. An aspect to consider is Adrian the owner is quick to respond to phone calls or emails when questions arise. I am tired of my grow room looking like a chem lab with the various bottles and boxes of nutes, ferts, supplements.

Tell me more about the dry pH ‘Up n’ Down’ products. Seems I’m always chasing my tail with the liquid Gen. Hydo line. A tad too much down, then a tad too much up, back n’ forth, back n’ forth till I hit the right numbers. Frustrating… Are they easier to us, does the dry product mess up the ppm’s???

  12. Motionless on July 6, 2022 at 10:58 pm

So I can basically grow a seed all the way to harvest with the veg+ bloom? Very interesting. I’m trying to find the best nutrients for my plants. Flushing is another story for another day.

  13. TT TT on July 6, 2022 at 10:59 pm

Please can you tell me what’s the best powder brands for a DWC current culture H2O 5 buckets 33 gallons

  14. Thomas Jones on July 6, 2022 at 10:59 pm

  15. Ray Lewis on July 6, 2022 at 11:02 pm

help me if you know ANYTHING, please. I had three free J. Herer autos but the last one was photoperiod. How can that be? Never raised this strain before but it looks like pictures I searched. lewisray95@hotmail.com . I am a 65 year old disabled man who needs the best for pain.

  16. Christopher Juarez on July 6, 2022 at 11:03 pm

Does anyone know of a sort of all in one nutrient solution that comes in one bottle that can be used for both veg and flower?

  17. Jay Rodriguez on July 6, 2022 at 11:04 pm

lex a lil too late at least for me but glad i see the culture is adapting this technique

  18. France Cayer on July 6, 2022 at 11:05 pm

any Canadian suppliers? I was not able to find any

  19. Grant Coyne on July 6, 2022 at 11:07 pm

Hi. I’ve just started running the veg+bloom whole range I can not get hold of the +life in the UK tho, can I use recharge by real growers instead? Is it the same thing?
    Thanks for the info 🙂

  20. SaGe Ninja on July 6, 2022 at 11:08 pm

One is Synthetic and one is Organic..
    Bottled = Synthetic
    Dry = Organic

  21. Chris Terror on July 6, 2022 at 11:09 pm

Properly flushing is key with dry additives…..you may experience residual taste … or find that different strains all get the same taste if not flushed good

  22. Joy on July 6, 2022 at 11:12 pm

Why so many place only carry liquid

  23. Tyler Truitt on July 6, 2022 at 11:15 pm

does the water have to be warm for powder to mix or is room temp fine?

  24. Easy Grows on July 6, 2022 at 11:16 pm

Canna products in combination with mycos and beneficials, and everything else becomes irrelevant.

  25. Joy on July 6, 2022 at 11:18 pm

How do you use this powder?

  26. Don Ethos on July 6, 2022 at 11:19 pm

Another helpful video. Thank you! ✌😆🌿

  27. Engineer Cat on July 6, 2022 at 11:22 pm

Maybe the other subs can help me with this. I did a water change tonight on my DWCs. I used the last of my GH 3. Once done I checked pph and its lower then I need. I planned on switching to veg+bloom and i got a 1lb bag knowing I would switch, but not realizing GH3 wouldn’t give me the ppm with what I had left. Will adding the powder nutes to bring up the ppm hurt the plants? Will the powder and liquid screw with each other, or does the plant not care as long as it has those nutes?

  28. Jay Delivery on July 6, 2022 at 11:22 pm

I have been growing powder for three years now the only issue I have is the mixture make sure has to be perfect are you start getting issues small lockouts

  29. Jae Crowther on July 6, 2022 at 11:25 pm

Bro I gave my plant veg nutrients in flower got up today it’s flowers are a light green what should I do outside grow

  30. Joy on July 6, 2022 at 11:25 pm

    Where do u buy it?

  31. David G Draper on July 6, 2022 at 11:27 pm

Good info. NPK RAW are selling a ton of different powdered components, and they are crazy expensive. But I get what your point is.

  32. Projec Tile on July 6, 2022 at 11:29 pm

Well, we know this product is a rip off now! That big tub with a cheeky bag inside. Love the video but that product makes a dirty environment too with added plastic….

  33. TheGamer928314 on July 6, 2022 at 11:32 pm

Will be looking into powered nutrients, I am sold

  34. Aye Nice on July 6, 2022 at 11:33 pm

Worst nutrient to spill is a gallon of fish fertilizer in a small closet

  35. Marcus Quijada on July 6, 2022 at 11:33 pm

    Is this better then masterblend??

  36. greenthumb grower on July 6, 2022 at 11:34 pm

Tell people about the veg + Bloom to not leave the bag open and put it back in the jar. Make sure you seal the bag and the jar really good or it will all bond together. Literally it will melt together.

  37. ExtremeX on July 6, 2022 at 11:34 pm

Would you recommend getting the full starter kit or would we be fine with just veg and bloom, which would you recommend for a dwc hydro grow with a rock wool cube inside clay pebbles? Tap water ph is around 8 and ppm is around 200

  38. Kenneth Colley on July 6, 2022 at 11:36 pm

Hey Lex… could you go over cold-dry and cold-cure

  39. Wikus Van loggerenberg on July 6, 2022 at 11:37 pm

I have had foiler spray powder. U just ad water and shake.

  40. CentralValleyGrower on July 6, 2022 at 11:38 pm

Have you tried the Athena nutrient line? Haven’t found any videos about it on here. I’ll have to make a video on it soon

  41. 18matts on July 6, 2022 at 11:38 pm

Life is not rooting solution btw

  42. Cathie Vaillancourt on July 6, 2022 at 11:39 pm

Thanks for this video. I’m new to this and wonder if you can top dress the soil with this or is it just add to water ?

  43. Ramy Ali on July 6, 2022 at 11:39 pm

Lex, are these powders considered organic and what’s the difference between them and Fish and bone meal powders (what I am using for top ammendment) ?

  44. tony diaz on July 6, 2022 at 11:40 pm

I bought the veg+bloom ro/soft. I’m at week 7. I’ve noticed that after week 8 there not much left on the feeding chart. If my flower hasn’t completed by then do I repeat weeks 6/7

  45. Malcolm Whitehead on July 6, 2022 at 11:41 pm

I’ve watched ten videos and no one says how much powder to use and how much water to use on different size plants and how often !

  46. Bushylingus on July 6, 2022 at 11:41 pm

Dissolving nutrient salts is really easy if you need a liter or 10 gallons take some water from the measured water warm it and dissolve the salts in the warm water then add it back to the measured water, this way you don’t loose as much dissolved oxygen from the water being too warm.
It also helps to warm water that’s too cold without loosing the dissolved oxygen.

Led lights and powder granulated fertilizer is the future of growing Trust Me.

  48. the jeep guy on July 6, 2022 at 11:45 pm

hey lex , id like to send you some pics of my plant , watch every video of yours but still can’t figure out what’s happening ?

  49. Joy on July 6, 2022 at 11:45 pm

    I am so confused

  50. Roger Lanoie on July 6, 2022 at 11:46 pm

I’ve been using the Raw line by NPK . They have an all in one for veg and bloom. I use my soil mix and just microbes and water for the first few waterings and then start a feed feed water schedule when the plants start establishing. I use a 20 gallon tote that i prefill and leave out and then just add the powder while im aggitating the water. As long as you ad slowly, it doesn’t clump, fully dissolves and has a long shelf life so I can buy in bulk.
