The problem with the republican party right now is, Trump is like a turd in the punch bowl, remove the turd and you still have a bowl full of turd water.

  6. @michaelginever732 on June 26, 2024 at 10:35 am

I’m not sure what the algorithm saw wrong with my comment the first time, but it seems okay with it the second time. I didn’t even say what i thought should happen to Trump himself. That would have raised the alarm.

Remember that Reagan was the start of the disastrous "Trickle down economics". It didn’t work then, or since then. He was one of the worst presidents, until Trump.

makes sense to me. but the party of Putin doesn’t care , they believe that everyone is as correct as they are, and that the power of money will win the day, and Putin has a lot of money.

  27. @dckfg01 on June 26, 2024 at 11:02 am

The Republican Party is dead because of Trump. We should treat it just as that. There could be a resurrection when Trump is cut off from it. How? Total defeat of Trump by the voters in Nov 2024. And Trump in prison.

  28. @freedomstar3930 on June 26, 2024 at 11:04 am

It’s a shame what’s happened to the Republican Party. I will still never understand how they went from the Party of Lincoln and the Party of Family Values to a bunch to two-faced fascists. What a disgrace that they have become.

  29. @rickwrites2612 on June 26, 2024 at 11:08 am

*The Republicans havent won a popular vote since 1980s*.
Theyve seem the cliff coming for at least 2 decades. But instead of learning from this and changing to widen their base, theyve gotten progressively narrower and narrower. W Bush didnt win clean in ’00 and only hit a 2nd term because of 9/11. 2016 was a fluke because it was HRC vs a celebrity.
Theyve driven to the edge of a cliff and now their only hope is to turn against America and install an authoritarian regime.
Its not going to work, theyre going to fail, and then what? Will they finally learn the problem isnt by definition the majority of Americans, the ptonlem is not their representation or messaging, but their values?

We really need the actual fiscal conservatives to reform as the center-right party w moderate Dems. They can be the Dems or go back to being called
Democrat-Republicans like in old days. The progs and socdems can join Greens for a green/labour type party .
Or let the Progs keep the Dem handle and call the center-right party something else. Though i think that makes less sense, since progressiveness is generally equated with being open to new names, ideas etc.

  30. @varyolla435 on June 26, 2024 at 11:09 am

Sorry but all true republican/conservatives left the party insanity loooong ago to become Independents given the madness ensuing. What remains are your Trumpanzee cultists now and they will do whatever their masters demand of them regardless of the outcome as we have seen now through several election cycles. They are not capable of thinking for themselves. You are appealing to = πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

Eh…Reagan’s legacy is nothing to be proud of either, fwiw. To find a decent Republican president, you pretty much need to go back to Eisenhower.

"Donald Trump is a virus that has torn our party to shreds."

"MAGA is a virus that has torn our nation to shreds."

To the millions of voters from Republican families who are intending to vote for Donald Trump:
Many of your parents and grandparents would be ashamed of you and deeply disappointed if you vote for Trump.

    And. You. Know. It.

The 2024 Presidential Election is not a choice between a Republican and a Democrat.

It is a choice between… traditional American values shared by both parties… and MAGA.

  42. @bardylon on June 26, 2024 at 11:22 am

Perfectly put. For a healthy democracy you need at least 2 viable parties. The Republican Party needs a wake up call that extreme rightwing politics and popularism are not the way to go.

  43. @archibaldharper3512 on June 26, 2024 at 11:22 am

Really stop the BS. The Republican party has been a hard-core Christian nationalist criminal organization from Eisenhower forward. Just about every time Reagan spoke lies spewed out of his disgusting hole. Identical to Diarrhea Donnie.

  45. @katriannaify on June 26, 2024 at 11:24 am

I’m sad to say if I had to vote for Trump, I would not vote and I’ve voted in every election since I received the privilege at 18. We have a choice and we voters have to make the choice of our consciences do we want our country of freedom or do want a country led by a convicted felon and pathological, delusional liar? I made my choices in 2016 and 2020 because I knew what would happen with Trump in charge. In addition, RFK Jr. is no better than Trump, He lies as much as Donald, He’s said the only ones not affected by Covid were the Chinese and Jews because their were in cahoots with one another. He also said Confederate statues should have been left alone, the Confederates didn’t have slaves. The crowning statement was he stated Joe Biden is the bigger threat to our Democracy than Trump. It’s my opinion that the GOP or the Trump campaign is secretly backing him or at least encouraging him. The GOP pulled the same thing in getting Ralph Nader to run years ago.

  50. @christophercoles4401 on June 26, 2024 at 11:27 am

I beg to differ. Donald Trump IS Reagan’s legacy. The so-called "moral majority" that Reagan kowtowed to are what is called the "Christian" right today. The intolerance, the pettiness, the marginalization of certain members of society, the hypocrisy were all there in the Reagan "revolution", they were just a little more subtle. Trump is a criminal and a traitor who wants nothing less than to be a dictator. But, he didn’t create what passes for "conservatism" today. He merely brought out what was already under the surface. Unless people understand that, nothing will change even if we get rid of Trump. We need to make sure that the malignant Trumpublican Party has little or no power whatsoever. VOTE BLUE ACROSS THE BOARD πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ
