RAPID ROOTER TUTORIAL How to germinate cannabis seeds using Rapid Rooter plugs EZ Pro Method

I have seen a lot of overly complicated methodologies for using Rapid Rooter plugs to germinate cannabis so here is a short vid highlighting key methods. Forgive my video- I’m a farmer, not a video maker. But my methods are fool proof and simple. No soaking, no sprouting, no hassles. Enjoy. EDIT: its 24 hours later or day 6 since I planted the seeds. 48 of 50 popped. Enough said.

-soak Rapid Rooter plugs 24 hours minimum in solution of 100-200 ppm with a pH of 6.3-6.4. (use a VEG type solution of 4-0-0 or comparable at 120ppm. if you use granular nutrients, mix your solution at least a day before you soak your plugs to allow dissolution/suspension of the granular nutrients)

-using tweezers, place seeds pit down, pointy side up in the Rapid Rooter plugs.

-cut a small slice off of a Rapid Rooter plug and gently place over seed hole (to restrict light).

-add the solution you soaked the plugs in to the bottom of the planting tray to a depth of approx. 1/4″ in the tray.

-cover with humidity dome.

-maintain a root zone temperature of at least 68 degrees Fahrenheit. I employ heated seed mats to do so.

-place covered trays under a T5 fluorescent light or comparable. I prefer to leave my light ON 24/7.

-when germination has completed, remove humidity dome. very important!

piece of cake. Happy Gardening! #rapidrooter #cannabis #germination #growweed

You Germinated over 400,000 seeds and figure you produces a 1/2#of each one = One rich sonma gun

THANK YOU for this video! I’m gonna try this. I am having SO MUCH trouble trying to germinate & sprout auto seeds I got from a newer website. Also, I am a newer grower and appreciate any pro help 100%. I’m going to try hydro for my 1st go around and am using Fox Farm line of nutrients unless you suggest different. The main question I have that I’m hoping you’ll be able to answer is I have a humidity dome made by AC Infinity. It has a tray with in a tray. The bottom tray has little pockets for water to sit in. The top tray which holds the plugs sits inside the bottom tray and it’s right on top of the bottom tray with the water. If you fill the bottom tray 1/8" of water (full), water barely touches the bottom of the holes in the top tray w/ the plugs. Should the bottom of the plug sit in water, of hover slightly above the water level?

Thanks , 4 days 10 seeds 100% success , its been 6 days have 3 inch root when should I plant in soil

Awesome video. Do you find you have to refill the 1/4” of nutrient water in the bottom tray? Or is that first pour sufficient for how long the plugs stay in their starter tray before transplant?

Can I germinate them in a paper towel then put them in a rapid rooter?

  7. Jamesmichael Cabrera on September 15, 2022 at 12:59 pm

I just use pure water works fine

Do you add water to the tray after dropping seeds in ? If so how much water also do I water tray again in a few days ?

  10. victor irizarry on September 15, 2022 at 1:01 pm

Ok so Do I ring them out after soaking if so how much do I ring it out or just leave it dripping wet then drop seed in ?

soak Rapid Rooter plugs 24 hours minimum in solution of 100-200 ppm with a pH of 6.3-6.4

soak plugs for 24 hrs min, check
solution of water with 100-200ppm of what?

What exactly is pre-germinating a seed?

  16. Chase on September 15, 2022 at 1:10 pm

Why do they curl out like that? I noticed a few curly ones in my dome

Bro thanks sooo much I really needed this

  18. Chris Woods on September 15, 2022 at 1:15 pm

I followed all these steps but used PH water about 6.5 and all my seeds sprouted. I filled the tray with more water cuz the rooters dried out a bit. After that within 24hrs the first sprouts popped up.

  19. uofm5267 on September 15, 2022 at 1:15 pm

where can i get those trays

  20. Mike Alberts on September 15, 2022 at 1:18 pm

Do the seeds need to be watered again before they sprout? Should there be water in the tray touching the bottom of the Rapid Rooters? Thanks for the video, it definitely looks like you know what you’re doing.

  24. Nobody on September 15, 2022 at 1:22 pm

Do you leave the plugs soaked or do you squeeze some water out?

  25. misa nguyen on September 15, 2022 at 1:24 pm

sorry if this is a dumb question. just starting out. do you plant the rapid rooter in the final pot as well? thank-you!

  26. Delta Nine on September 15, 2022 at 1:25 pm

How much pH do I add. Is this for grow or just sprouts.

  30. errol stafford on September 15, 2022 at 1:33 pm

Yooo I didn’t germinate at all I just wet the cubes good and put like 37 seeds in dome on heating mat. 2 days they started sprouting 👌🏿 💯. But you’re exactly right you don’t have to go thru all that extra s#!+

  31. S.A.N on September 15, 2022 at 1:36 pm

ph 6.3 – 6.4? why so high? apparently in hydroponics you have to stick to the 5.8-6.2 hmmm 🤔

  32. Wisito PR on September 15, 2022 at 1:37 pm

    Awesome video!
What do you use to adjust ph?

  33. supplies4reptiles on September 15, 2022 at 1:37 pm

funny how weed smokers get their own accent you can hear when a smoker talks lol

  34. Slurpinterpz901 on September 15, 2022 at 1:38 pm

Amazing video bro!! I’m an organic gardening nothing major been green thumbing about 4 years now. I try to tell people everyday “less is more” don’t need to be all extra with it sometimes. Cannabis is a very easy plant to grow and also very forgiving at times. Thanks for the great video!

  35. Chase on September 15, 2022 at 1:38 pm

Wondering too, if half of them sprout and the others are taking a little longer, do you take the dome off all the way or can you keep it on till the rest sprout?

  36. Andrew Soules on September 15, 2022 at 1:38 pm

Do you squeeze any water out of the plugs prior to placing seed? Also once seeds are in plugs, 18×6 schedule in the tent, 70-80f and 70% humidity?

  37. Hoyt Entertainment on September 15, 2022 at 1:44 pm

What’s the dome and heat mat for if you’re not using them

  38. Arcane Artisan on September 15, 2022 at 1:45 pm

awesome video man, 100x better than some of the other stuff I’ve seen on the same topic.

we need more videos from you man! I’d love to see what your hydroponic system looks like and hear some more grow tips from you.

    liked and subbed!

  39. hussstler786 on September 15, 2022 at 1:47 pm

Pointy end up in the plugs? Where the seed opens that part should be up? I used peat pellets a few days ago and I dunno what happened. Started in paper towel and once I saw tap roots I put them in peat pellets and wasn’t too satisfied as 1 popped and the other hasn’t. These plugs are more expensive but man if they work then its worth it. I’m just a newbie and I’m tired 😫 of messing up and wasting seeds.

    Great advice thank you!
