Season 3 (Weeks 3 & 4): Flower Prep and Catastrophe
This video is meant for ages 21+.
Beginner BUDZ does not condone any illegal activities. Our channel is merely meant for educational and documentary purposes.
As we improve, it’s getting easier to keep everything under control – at least, that which we can control, of course. Come to find out, this week would bring catastrophe and leave only 4 plants in the Beginner Budz tent rather than the 5 they started with.

3×3 tent?
Get a cheap soil meter, it has water moisture, pH and light. Hold it flat at plant height and the switch to light. You should have a PAR under 200 for seedlings week one. During veg a PAR of 600 is great. For flower you should be around 800 to 900. I hope my experience with light helps and you should see less stretch and thicker better growth.
Great video,..Dude you sound just like( James Franco )
Pertaining to the fungus, perhaps yall did ,but I’d recommend tossing the soil and bucket. Hard to say where the fungus may or may not be. However, it’s in the soil for sure and may bave contaminated the bucket. Not saying yall left it in there to spread to the others….but some of us "may" sat it aside and use it later . Better to rid all possible hosts.
I’m working in a 4×4 closet..a banana Kush and blue dream auto..I’m using 2 75watt lights paired with your run of the mill fox farm soil..I am just starting my venture into growing..I know it isn’t much..and your channel has helped tremendously..next year I know what I need to do..thank you guys for the simple explanations
I’m on week 3 and the new leaves coming in after I topped it are curled upwards What could it be
Spidermites
The real Resen thay through away that plant was that it went in to flower soon after thay traind it and it wood have been tiny not coz it has a Brown dot on it
Lemme get another zip of the c4 bro bro I’m 5 away
Damn, i guess thats why people grow like 5 of each strain at a time.
Yo nice video thanks
Do you sell clones
Fan speed is too intense at this stage, no?
Binge watching to catch up. 👍
What exactly is the wire thing and is it necessary? I’m new to this.
I notice you have had problems with over watering your plants I use fabric pots an they dry out a lot quicker than plastic you should make the jump an even try 1 in fabric an 1 in plastic the roots get a lot more air so more roots more plant 😁💚ps keep up good work fam🌿
How long do you have it tied down for?
The humidifier link doesn’t work and you don’t have your light listed either
@Beginner BUDZ
I had a plant that began getting those fungus spots. Looked identical. I just let it be for a week or so, to learn how it would progress.
The spots became more numerous… until I simply removed the affected leaves. The fungus did not come back, nor spread to my other plants in the tent. 🙂
Overwatering
Too big them pots too soon.. that’s why they over watered
How’s it Going my Stoney-Ja-Bronee’s I love you’re channel and vids really good! What state are you guys located in?
I’m too afraid to use dolomitic lime. pH swings wildly.
The video starts at 154
That node spacing doesn’t look right ahahaha
Way to much water
I love the channel!!
Aww poor girl. Rust fungus by any chance?
yo yall kill it! Deff love the vibes!
That didn’t look like fungus damage, it looks more like calcium deficiency.
You should’ve just cut out the fungus
Can i please send you guys a picture of a problem plant i have and get your opinion? 😁🤙🏼
Boron (B, Z=5, A=10) helps with the movement of sugars and reproduction as well as water consumption by cells.
It participates in the formations of stems and stalks and prevents Ca from becoming insoluble. Boron also aids in the production, coloring, and formation of leaves and their structures.
Its deficiency causes death to the tips and malformations of the marijuana buds. Boron deficiencies also cause Mg and K deficiencies.

@BeginnerBuds how long should you LST your plants before you release them? 🤷🏻♂️ Please let me know what has worked well for you
Subscribed on both channels of mine please check out my first autoflower ghetto grow ! Plz share knowledge aka power my friend keep it going my dude !
8:30 totally agreed man
🤙🏾🤙🏾🤙🏾
Lime?lime raises ph to alkalai, cannabis is acidic loving, keep below 6,8 ph in soil,a good way to check for over watering is black tip on the leaves.happy growing peeps.
Dude if at week 3-4 that’s where you’re at you kids suck lmao. Get some real lights
I don’t believe that was a fungus I think it may have something to do with the LEDs
I’m in my 3rd week and my plants are so tiny, refusing to grow upwards..?
Contrary to previous grows where they were Too tall..
Upon advice, i set the light quite low above them, maybe too much light..??
i dont think that its fungus….i think it was the oily solution u sprayed and was not fully absorbed then when exposed to light, leaves were damaged
Dude, I had a real CATastrophe this week, while setting up a new lights I turned my back for just a minute and one of my cats ate a 2 week old gorilla glue AF.. I could have killed the cat!! lol Thanks and keep up the good work!
Not sure if you’ve tried it by now, I definitely recommend using neem oil to combat any fungus or even small pests/fungus carrying pests. Spray all the medium and give a light spray over the foliage up until they start flowering. If they’re flowering only wet the medium. I haven’t had to use either fungicide or insecticide since I started using neem oil. Has a wicked smell though that quickly fades.
Bummer, sorry, Buddy. I hate this happened. This isn’t directed towards you at all, but have you noticed the amount of "Bro Science" "Snake Oils" and misinformation in this hobby? I guarantee anyone reading this that I could do a blind test of the same strain. One with bud sweetener XXL (or insert clever name here) and one without and no one could pick which one is which. Sure, ther are some supplements that are great for plants. But in my humble opinion thats exactly where most new growers and some moderate growers go wrong. They try to grow plants, when they should be growing roots. I have nothing against foliar feeding, in fact I know it works, to a degree. How ever if people are bound and determined to buy all these supplements. At least buy supplements that work really well and if you shop around, getting past those cartoon labels and clever marketing. You’ll find its not very expensive to grow a very impressive crop. The 1st thing you need is don’t skimp on your lights. Buy the very best one you can afford, there’s no getting around this. An LED that "is equivalent to 600 watts" does not give you 600 watt performance. When buying a light, you can roughly figure 1 gram of weight per TRUE WATT, true watts is what watts are coming out of the outlet its plugged into. And if you want to grow more than 2-4 plants. You need a minimum of 600 watts for really good results. Next is good fertilizer, it doesn’t have to be pharmaceutical grade and super sterile. It needs to have quality ingredients in the amounts thats on the label. Afterall we’re talking about a wild flower that grows in some pretty ugly areas in the wild and these plants thrive. They thrive without BUD XL, Sledge Hammer, etc. Buy nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium and undiluted humic acid and calmag as needed. Thats basically all you really need to grow some really impressive plants, and some common sense along with basic gardening knowledge. I can get over a pound of dry bud on some plants with these ingredients alone. If you are growing in a container, use at least a 5 gallon fabric pot, but 3 will work in a pinch, just not as well. Buy a well draining medium, something with 20-30% perlite. I prefer Coco Loco because its really lightweight, drains great, and is pretreated with about 3 weeks worth of nutrients to get you started, and you can recycle it. However if you grow your plants to optimal performance. You will not be able to recycle any because your roots will have wormed their way into every centimeter and the only thing you’ll get from that ball of roots is handfulls of root encrusted coco loco. You can go to the next level and use growing microbes, flowering microbes and enzymes, because they do help but occur naturally in nature, but at very slow rates. Humic acid is volcanic so there’s not much in the soil unless you live near volcanoes. My nutrients routine is mixing nitrogen potassium phosphorus at different levels during different stages of the plants life. Example would be more no2 during veg and more phosphorus . During Flower you want less phosphorus and nitrogen and more potassium. And if you add a teaspoon of high purity humic acid and seaweed emulsion each feeding/watering, enzymes and the right microbes for what ever stage your plant is in. You’ll grow monsters that are worth bragging about. As long as you water/feed them just enough to saturate the roots in the areas where the roots are, not the void areas. Afterall you want your roots to expand outwards looking for more moisture, and they will. And the bigger and more roots you have, the bigger and healthier your plants will be..Saturating all the medium when you water/feed doesn’t help, it restricts. The 1st few weeks of a plants life I start out with 2 cups of water, week 2 three cups, week 3 five cups and by the fifth or sixth week I am at 1/2 gallon. This is plenty enough water for the plant to thrive and not enough to prevent the roots from looking for more. Traveling roots means new roots, new roots means more roots, more roots means more nutrient intake. This is when I go to 1 gallon per plant, because at this point the roots really can’t travel any further and they need to eat. After watering pick the container up and feel how heavy it is, remember that weight. 3 days later pick it up again and if its still heavy, do not water it, if its really lightweight give it a gallon. Believe it or not, plants store nutrients so you only need to feed them once a week. Your watering needs may vary a little depending on your location due to humidity and temps, but they’re all close. Now if you plan on training your plants silica supplements help with stresses of HST. The best plants are the plants that are stressed just enough to stay healthy, but stressed enough so they try to defend themselves. What is their defense? Trichomes ….Running your plants on the dry side helps with this,, so does super cropping and HST. Another way to up your trichome levels is using ice water when they’re in full flower. I’m not saying every other way is wrong, but it is expensive and you should stick with what you have confidence in, unless you are constantly trying new things. And if you want these methods to really pay off, be consistent all the time, every time. You’ll be surprised at the quality of flower you can grow without spending a fortune on all those unnecessary supplements, that in my opinion are a waste of money..I am 51 years old and have been growing since the early 80s and I’ve tried it all, but always find my most impressive grows are the ones that I kept simple. Base nutrients, humic enzymes and microbes and running the grow fairly dry. I’m not saying what you are doing is wrong, these are just my experiences and growing plants that I am proud of for a lot less money and time and the extra steps But no matter what your routines are, you gotta have a good light to get everything else to function properly…
,
Awesome
Bro how many hours a day the light will be on
