Starting a new mother plant
Hello and welcome to Grow420TV! Thank you for tuning in. This is a weekly cannabis grow documentary. We have several grow tents, Grow cabinets, and grow closets in use for growing organic medical marijuana. All of our plants are for personal medical use, nothing is for sale. Join us as we grow organic cannabis from start to finish. All of the plants are grown in a coco coir medium. We us Down to Earth organic fertilizers. Please Like, and Subscribe. Leave comments, and questions. We love to hear from everyone! So kick back and enjoy the show. Light one up, and here we go!
We are happy to start a new grow in our 3×3 Ultra Yield grow tent! In this tent we have a Spectrum King Closet case 140 Watt light. The tent has been cleaned, refreshed, new fans, and filter. This indoor grow tent is ready to grow, so lets transplant new seedlings. We will transplant seedlings into 3 gallon fabric containers. There will be a total of 9 plants, and 3 strains. The Banana Blaze from Dutch Passion Seeds. Critical Kush from Barney’s Farms. Also Sweet Zombie from Expert Seeds. 3 brand new strains of almost pure indica! This should be a grow tent full of Dank and Stank for sure!!!
The Sky High Closet is our largest grow space. We have 2 Electric Sky ES300 lights from The Green Sunshine Co in this closet. We can fit several plant into this space and really let the plants grow large. We have finished harvesting this closet. Now it is time to remove the drapes, and fans. Clean the space well. There was a plant that turned hermi in here so we want to remove any male pollen left in the grow space. So we will close the Sky High closet. Clean everything. Than we can reset for the next grow. I do like to give this closet a break during the summer. It uses a lot of power so it is nice to give it a rest.
In our Nursery we have a T5 fluorescent bulb light. We have a Persephone by James mother plant in here. Also we now have a new Peyote gorilla mother plant here too. We keep our mother plants in 1 gallon containers of coco. Today we will be bending the plant and tying it so it grows along the side of the container. This helps the clone branches grow to the light. It also saves a lot of space.
Our Auto Sky Room is a small grow cabinet. It is about 20 in wide, 30 in deep, and is about 5 feet tall. We have an Electric Sky ES180 light in this grow space. I like to use this area for auto flowers. Its size is great for smaller photoperiod plants also. In here we have our Peyote Gorilla girls. We found a seed from the last grow and are growing one from Seedsman. This is the first week of flower for these girls. It will be fun to see how the two differ from cross breading.

Lol poking holes in soil with a dirty inky pen. Can you say contaminate?
James, how often do you re-amend your mother’s soil? Hope you don’t mind, I’m stealing your recipe for my first mother/clone attempt (phantom cookie) 🤞🏻
Pollen goes inert after 72hrs.
👍🏾👍🏾
Thanks for the information! I have been stressing about my mother space.

very useful! thanks 🙂
All that stuff looks brand new bro
At 2:50 you mentioned your peyote gorilla mother is actually a clone herself? Do you notice any production/ quality drop off from using a clone vs a seed as a mother?
Cool
What kind of grow light do you use for your mother plants?
🤘🏽
How long has your Persephone mother lasted? How long does a mother usually last?
Why are there even dislikes to this video? just because it’s wholesome and informative?
James hi, will room light keep plant in vegetation?
Hey its my first commercial grow! I was wondering i have about 50 beans ive been acquiring over the years lol I have a handful that I would love to start as mothers… my question being would you recommend to pop them all and choose whats best and hang on to them or just pop a few beans for now and take the risk on the pheno?
