Where did you purchase your plug trays ? The ones I keep finding a very flimsy and require and additional flat tray to carry around and work with the plug tray.

  2. @tusharkathuria9 on May 11, 2024 at 10:33 am

I remember you made a video on propagation chamber, don’t you use it now?

  3. @furkanule5495 on May 11, 2024 at 10:34 am

Do you have a program at what stage do you fertilize seedlings? What drugs do you use against fungal diseases and pests?

  4. @vishallsingh1881 on May 11, 2024 at 10:35 am

After the plug trays when ur transplanting into a hydroponics system do u remove the soil n place them into the pods or dont?

One thing I can do to help these modern heroes, just share and subscribe.

  6. @ZipGrowInc on May 11, 2024 at 10:37 am

In other systems, yes. However, tower systems don’t require you to clean off the dirt/vermicompost because of the special media that holds the dirt around the root ball.

  7. @emelaniediza7158 on May 11, 2024 at 10:40 am

Can you put directly the seedling (with vermicompost or seedling mix) to the system? Example in the DWC, will it not get messy?

  8. @ZipGrowInc on May 11, 2024 at 10:41 am

Glad you find it helpful, Charles! Have a great day.

  9. @Swarnmudra on May 11, 2024 at 10:42 am

Does seed needs nutrition (vermicompost) in germination?. I thought that seeds itself has enough nutrition for germination. Plz clarify?

u see brightagrotech videos and get nothing at the end lods of blah blah blah.

  13. @MikeManning on May 11, 2024 at 10:47 am

Do you need to clean dirt or vermicompost from the roots before planting into either aquaponic or hydroponic systems?

  14. @gardeningplus7271 on May 11, 2024 at 10:50 am

    Hi,
Do you think plug tray 200 good for onion seeds or not?

  15. @cajunlady7803 on May 11, 2024 at 10:51 am

What I’m curious about is how you easily get each seadling plug out of that tray?

  16. @amster60 on May 11, 2024 at 10:51 am

Where do you get your seeds from?

  17. @antoinettehughes6514 on May 11, 2024 at 10:51 am

I think I missed the point of this video…didn’t actually learn anything other than the importance of choosing pelletized seeds.

  18. @sycomsimon on May 11, 2024 at 10:52 am

Where can you normally get seeding trays like that?

  19. @kerwinfernandes9583 on May 11, 2024 at 10:53 am

Great Tips !! God Bless!! 😀

Nate studied agroecology for his bachelor’s and agronomy for his masters and Ph.D. (with a healthy dose of horticulture mixed in).

I have a question. I am using grow grips for a vertical linear nft system . I was thinking of letting the iceberg lettuce seedlings sit in a raft bed in the grow grips alone until the roots develop before putting them in the system to avoid using a wick system on the nft. Your thoughts please

  22. @iwantosavemoney on May 11, 2024 at 10:58 am

a dimpler would be easy enough to make and a poor boy tobacco seeder is cheap to make also sir they may help to automate your system a little more

  23. @garyschmelzer on May 11, 2024 at 11:00 am

I dont like the cheap plastic trays from walmart where can I get the molded strong trays

  24. @ayalaseb on May 11, 2024 at 11:00 am

hi! i am starting my own aquaponic set up, i have coconut fibre to plant the seedling in the plug trays, is that ok? do i need to add something else to the the seedlings ready for the grow beds? awesome channel btw

  25. @chadmikaels on May 11, 2024 at 11:01 am

just curious as you show a few videos about planting seeds into your trays using soil and then have a few videos using rockwool cubes. Which is better in your opinion and do the rockwool fit into the zipgrow towers? thanks 🙂

  26. @ryanjones2981 on May 11, 2024 at 11:06 am

Absent the vermicompost, can I assume that watering seedlings with aquaponic solution provides a good start for the seedling? I assume I could innoculate ordinary potting soil with red worms to get the desired red worm population / action yes?

  27. @ericanderson614 on May 11, 2024 at 11:09 am

Hey Nate! Accidentally found your channel – so cool to see you on here. I did subscribe and want to keep up with your videos. Gentry and I are starting a channel soon that will partly focus on our trying to grow a significant portion of our food in our backyard here in Albuquerque. High desert gardening/urban farming (sorta!) – anyway, looking forward to seeing your stuff. Take care man!

  28. @omarameen9753 on May 11, 2024 at 11:09 am

In case there’s no vermi compost.what would you recommend to put in the plugs?

  29. @ZipGrowInc on May 11, 2024 at 11:09 am

We order them from Hummert (hummert dot com)

  30. @heriras8955 on May 11, 2024 at 11:09 am

Is the soil safe for the fish and does it dirty the water

  31. @youcktube82 on May 11, 2024 at 11:09 am

Can you do a video showing you moving the seedlings to the grow beds or towers?

  32. @rkh7360 on May 11, 2024 at 11:12 am

Watering once a day or several times a day???

  38. @warsicklol on May 11, 2024 at 11:18 am

    Super helpful, thanks

  40. @jasonwells131 on May 11, 2024 at 11:25 am

Great video! Do you directly plant the seedlings in your system? Will the seedlings grow medium effect PH in the water?

  41. @RayVillsIba on May 11, 2024 at 11:25 am

hi I recently bump into one of your videos and caught my attention to the point that im looking in to doing my very own aquaponic but im still doing my research since am not completely well documented on the subject .So the first of my many questions  is if i can  raise tilapia ?, I live in the east bay of san Francisco is it to cold ? can I keep them with a temperature control heaters ? .thanks for your videos and your time

  42. @BrianBerriosOne on May 11, 2024 at 11:25 am

What do you use the 273 plug tray?

  43. @ZipGrowInc on May 11, 2024 at 11:26 am

    Absolutely, you can do that.

  44. @sararoby5050 on May 11, 2024 at 11:28 am

Hey I love your channel! Thanks teaching us all we need to know about aquaponics and hydroponics. I have an odd question… I’m having a hard time cleaning the trays after transport- it’s taking FOREVER! What method do you use to clean your trays?

  45. @kitemanmusic on May 11, 2024 at 11:28 am

When you have loose filled the multi-tray, used another tray to push down on top for an instant compaction.

  46. @sycomsimon on May 11, 2024 at 11:30 am

    Thanks Brother 🙂
