Feel like the cigarettes probably made a bigger impact. Also I don’t love the fact that the study found vague statements instead ofof actual quantitative data.

Marijuana’s effect on the heart is nothing compared to alcohol and cigarettes effect on it.
If those two things can be legal then marijuana should be legal as well.

My husband turned to marijuana after a heroin addiction. He killed his heart. Congestive heart failure. (My heart had a few palpitations after my first shot of the vaccine. I didn’t take the second). LIVE LARGE in 2022! 💞

I’m 25 been smoking for 13 years. Grass and dabs, no oil pens(don’t like them). Zero heart issues. I’ve been seeing these issues mainly with oil pen users. It might make a difference that I didn’t take a COVID injection too since they are messing with hearts. Might me something to consider if weed never effected your heart before.

  22. Joseph Moraga on May 15, 2022 at 7:47 pm

Ok "MRNA" people are waking up much buddy has a heart condition and SMOKES WAX, WAX PEN AND WEED. it’s not weed do you think people are that stupid. FAKE NEWS AGAIN HERE. WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN INJECTING PEOPLE WITH THAT IS BANNED IN OTHER COUNTRIES BECAUSE OF THIS.

  23. randel14 on May 15, 2022 at 7:49 pm

Sorry guys, I have to agree there are some adverse effects with marijuana, based on my experiences (everyone is different)

I have been smoking marijuana and consuming marijuana (edibles and oil based) , on and off for the past 6 months. I have noticed I have had more random heart palpitations (irregular heartbeats) since I started. Sometimes I get a random throbbing pain in my head from the edibles/tincture form of weed.

I usually smoke before the gym because marijuana gives me so much energy and makes me feel great during my workout, I feel my muscles as I work them. But sometimes if I smoke or consume too much, (it’s hard to know your limit) I have on occasion had panic attacks where I couldn’t bring my heart rate down so I had to go running or to the gym to trick my body and nervous system into thinking I was working out. If you’re reading this, please listen, if you ever feel you have an uncontrollable elevated heart rate you need to go for a run go to the gym, be around people so you calm yourself down you need to control your breathing, breath deeply. You can also lay on the ground and cough on the left side and right side, laying on the ground on face front on your bed will allow to do a deep cough, and get in more oxygen.

You also need to drink a lot of water, Marijuana is similar to caffeine in that it makes you lose water, water helps oxygen get around the body so your heart wouldn’t have to beat as hard, therefore bringing your heart rate down.

I usually smoke using a heir waterpipe, so I don’t inhale the carbon monoxide.

If you also smoke before the gym, I have noticed that caffeine pills (I’d recommend Elite Caffine and L-Theanine) also get me energised before the gym, so I would recommend that instead of smoking.

  25. Susan Rogers on May 15, 2022 at 7:52 pm

Strange…my current husband has smoked marijuana since age 15. He graduated from High School, worked full time until retirement, crediting the Marijuana for the calming effect and settling his nerves. This report sounds like the FEARMONGERING propaganda Mainstream media pushes…just more B.S.

  26. Hank Mike on May 15, 2022 at 7:52 pm

This is the great thing with no large companies like with cigarette companies. Who do we suue for misleading us and saying cannabis is okay? Its all about money, they don’t care about our health, only the $ Marijuana brings in. Who do we sue?

  27. CloneTrooper on May 15, 2022 at 7:52 pm

    Weed is harmless

  28. Fernando Tovar on May 15, 2022 at 7:53 pm

I’m only 21 and I’ve been smoking for 3 years but I’ve been experiencing really bad heart palpitations just recently only when I smoke, I work out everyday and never drink. I’ve also don’t smoke cigarettes so there is no way anything else is causing it besides the weed. It’s sucks too because I enjoy marijuana but it’s not worth having a heart attack

  29. Derick Villatoro on May 15, 2022 at 7:54 pm

This is just like their studies on school shooters "they’ve all played violent video games"

  30. Mario Mario on May 15, 2022 at 7:55 pm

I smoked weed for 35+ years, smoking on average 3 joints a day. I never smoked cigarettes. I was diagnosed with colon cancer a few years ago, and fortunately the malignancy could be removed surgically. Before they operated on me, they did exhaustive testing on my heart and lungs, including a pet scan. And, I definitely had the lungs of a smoker. I decided to quit smoking, and it was the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do. I think people should be able to partake in the stuff, if they want to, but inhaling any kind of smoke into your lungs on a daily basis over time isn’t good for your lungs. Even Willie Nelson has said that in the past.

Oh give me a break. Pass the bong please.

  33. danx ortiz on May 15, 2022 at 8:01 pm

I’ve smoked so much before and during the pandemic, I started smoking when I was 18, I’m now 26, I was a heavy smoker. Last Friday April 29th 2022 after I hit the bong, I started feeling my heart pounding so much, I even felt it was gonna come out of my chest, I started feeling super anxious and paranoid, had thoughts that I was gonna die, I couldn’t control it, when I calmed down after a few days, I hit the bong and the issue came back. I wasn’t doing anything at all and my heart was racing, I checked my BPM and it showed it was above 100. I went to the doctor today (May 4th 2022) and she told me I had a high blood pressure (130.80) within the normal range but still high, my palpitations were 115. She told me I should go and do an electrocardiogram which I’ll go tomorrow, I hope everything goes well for me. I will definitely stop smoking the next months until I get better. If not, I guess I won’t never try weed. I believe this is a sign my body was sending me to stop smoking before it’s too late. I recommend y’all to smoke once a day and not everytime as I used to do.

  36. SAMUELCRAFTER1 on May 15, 2022 at 8:04 pm

I’ve smoked so much for the past couple of years (from my pen, with really high concentrations of THC) and just recently I started getting tachycardias of 130-150+ as well as my blood pressure shooting up way up. I’m barely 20. After a couple scares I think it’s time I lay off it for a while.
I say this so that y’all are careful with it, it’s not a “consequence-free drug”. Be safe y’all 🙏

  38. David Deeznots on May 15, 2022 at 8:06 pm

All these hippies are in denial. Lol there are many proven scientific studies that weed is just as harmful as cigarettes.

  39. dan on May 15, 2022 at 8:06 pm

I smoked weed from 15-19 yrs old, pretty consistent with breaks here and there for a week or two or so. One day my heart after smoking a bong hit made my heart quiver uncontrollably and it came with huge stabbing pains, and since then I have had an arrhythmia w increased heart rate and skipped heartbeats and I cannot smoke , or else my heart will heavily pound and hurt immensely. My doc said it could go away in 6 months-1 year, but that’s not necessarily a given. I have given up weed for the last 2 months since it happened. Anyone else in this same boat? I wanna hear more from other smokers that have heart issues due to weed. I miss weed even tho it’s only been a couple months

marijuana helps open the veins while nicotine helps close them lol complete bs

  42. Womack studios on May 15, 2022 at 8:09 pm

So 3000 years later and suddenly man started having adverse reactions to marijuana. Hmm, 3000 years and only miniscule and seldom harmful reactions have occurred.
They might want to look into some other thing that was introduced in 2020 to the population that could be the cause of these heart attacks.
Anyone? What thing was introduced into society for the first time and could specifically be causing heart issues in younger people.
    I think it’s pretty obvious.

  43. Andrew Hoffmann on May 15, 2022 at 8:09 pm

So I used to smoke weed like a champ from bongs used to rip cartridges everything and I never had a problem until a little while back I did have heart surgery as a baby and my experiences now is that my chest will tighten up my heart race will be very fast my veins will get very skinny because they’re usually very thick and popping out because I am skinny and it feels like sometimes my heart stops and then continues or it feels like there’s too much strain on my heart I’ve tried even taking small hits and it still affects me is there anyway I could solve this or do I have to live like this if so I do not mind that I have to give up weed they say it’s the THC what if I switch to cbd

  44. Lawlor on May 15, 2022 at 8:09 pm

Quit weed 3 years ago, brink of a heart attack after smoking. I smoked for years before that and slowly got palpitations months leading up to quiting. I was so scared being alone when it happened. Had 911 ready to be called on my phone. I havnt any any problems since I quit. Weed is NOT good for u!

  45. Federico Black on May 15, 2022 at 8:11 pm

I’ve never smoked cigarettes and I don’t drink frequently. A year ago I started vaping cannabis regularly and now I have chest pains and severe headaches. I had an MRI and cardiovascular studies. I’m fairly normal but I noticed that I stopped using cannabis for days and all those symptoms stopped. I used and edible 2 days ago and the symptoms came back. Any answers? I read some articles that THC specifically is tied to heart issues. Is CBD a better option or just to stop using cannabis entirely?

  46. Phillip Garcia on May 15, 2022 at 8:11 pm

I had heart palpitations over the course of smoking witch was 10 years I quit 2 years ago and I haven’t had not one issue or weird feeling in my heart since my quality of life is amazing without weed .
