  3. JoeyKushBush on August 6, 2023 at 11:36 pm

What if our humidity drops fast sometimes? I try to keep it constant around 60% but sometimes I’ll check it and it’s closer to 40? Am I risking mold or anything?

  4. Richard Warrick on August 6, 2023 at 11:40 pm

As you pull the we hang and pull all fan leafs including stem against grain, then hang for 4 days till small stems snap when bent. Then trim and jar.

Will using a bud bowl trimmer reduce the quality or potency?

can you add pics on here?

  12. Bob Smith on August 6, 2023 at 11:48 pm

you said just cut the fan leafs but you might as well cut them all in one shot. This is double work cut the fan leafs then small leafs too complicated. I usually cut all the junks leafs and then dry it. There is no potency loss don’t bullshit . Drying slower on the branch I agree but no potency loss whether you wet or dry trim ! I have tried both way and did not noticed any potency loss. Its just drying on the branch is little slower then off the branch ! off the branch buds drying faster a little not too much difference . you guys love to make myth about different things.

  13. John Osborne on August 6, 2023 at 11:49 pm

Just wondering what you think about the cannatrol dryer/cure machine it cost a bit but I think it’s worth the price more stable for drying curing and long term storage

  16. Bh on August 6, 2023 at 11:49 pm

Great content and I appreciate all the info. On two different runs though, I have followed your advice on drying and curing but I have never been able to get the product to start smelling or tasting like it should after the curing process.
Could you tell me what might be the issue or where to start ?
    Thanks for your help.

  17. Rack65 on August 6, 2023 at 11:50 pm

I’m a first time grower and and I love that gunk I get when I wet trim. It reminds me of how pine sap feels on my hands after working with pine. I scrape it off my scissors and make a little ball. Thanks for the vid!

  18. Bob Smith on August 6, 2023 at 11:50 pm

you gotta trim CLEAN and the only way to do it when its fresh. Dry trimming will leave lots of junk leafs behind no matter how hard you try. Wet trimming gives you ability trim very close to the bud removing all unwanted junk leafs. quality stays the same wet dry don’t matter !

  19. VTBasser on August 6, 2023 at 11:52 pm

The question is always when to move the bud from hang drying into jars for curing. Some use the snap stem test. I find that just a shot in the dark and often it gets too dry. Here is the easy accurate way. Do this separately for small buds, medium buds, and large buds. Place some of the same size buds in a jar and add a cigar box hygrometer. Let is sit for an hour or so. Check the RH. If still too wet (above 62%) hang those buds back up. Below 62% – jar up that size bud and start curing/burping.

  20. Brock Gangell on August 6, 2023 at 11:52 pm

Just harvested Serious 6 and its currently hanging up now for 3days, then into paper bags for a 7-10 days then into the mason jars with 62%rh packs. Also have my Gellato Ogs and Purple Peyote too, i was going to dry in my tent but due to different time frames in the plants development.

  23. Ussi on August 6, 2023 at 11:57 pm

So, as I understand, "curing" is something like *fermentation* – or not? 🤔

  24. Samuel Ponce on August 6, 2023 at 11:58 pm

5:30 😂😂😂 trimmed for 4hour 20 mins my back was fucced and so was my buds didn’t know how to dry or cure …..this time left it to hang and do its thang definitely better imo now the curing is another ball game 😢

  28. Anthony Hoskings on August 7, 2023 at 12:00 am

I’ve been watching u for a while now and u saying" I don’t touch my bud in 6weeks" had me laughing I’m sure you’ve smoked plenty uncared bud lol. Thoughts?

  29. Doug Syler on August 7, 2023 at 12:04 am

Would the chance of mold be reduced by not watering the plant for a week before harvest? C-vault is essentially the sealable pans found at Korean or Asian grocery stores.

  30. Ben Parker on August 7, 2023 at 12:04 am

Have you tried using a mason jar and a vacuum sealer? I was listening to a pod cast and if you use a vacuum sealer with a humidity pack after drying and trimming you vacuum the flowers in the mason jar for one week then open the jar and reseal with the vacuum and after the second week and done! I am going to try this!

  31. WhiteFeather on August 7, 2023 at 12:05 am

    Wet trim all the way.
Then I dry 7-10 days. I Cure for 3 -4 weeks in mason jars Burping (open the jars) twice a day for a few minutes, no boveda or humidity packs while curing. My buds are tasty and mild.

  32. Miller on August 7, 2023 at 12:07 am

To me drying and curing is hardest part of growing

  33. cb.growmie on August 7, 2023 at 12:07 am

dry curing seems to be what im worst at.

  34. ignats54 on August 7, 2023 at 12:07 am

    Great video. A beginner here.
Are the smaller buds picked further down the stem less potent than the larger end buds?

  35. Mark on August 7, 2023 at 12:08 am

More Flavor = More Terpenes = More Complex Effects

  36. Juceman on August 7, 2023 at 12:09 am

I can’t controll the heat where my plants dry. I have them in the coolest place in my house which peaks around 75 degrees. second run. one plant was ready so I dried and the heat killed the terps. Any suggestions for my remaining 4 plants that I haven’t cut yet? I have my de humidifier, a humidifier and fans that’s wat I’m working with. Remaining plants are Cream cookies, GSC and gorilla cookies by Fastbuds. Thanks yal 🙏🏽

  37. smalltubes on August 7, 2023 at 12:09 am

Dry trim for the win. Wet trim seeps chlorophyll juice all over the buds. No thank you. Dry trim is easier and faster as well..

Temp is pretty important too lol. 70°F at 55% is going to dry faster than 60°F at 55% regardless of bud size or thickness.

  40. Shahin on August 7, 2023 at 12:13 am

The Boveda packs are the best thing that I have ever used for curing. A complete game changer!

  41. Jeremy on August 7, 2023 at 12:14 am

I agree on flavor, I’ve been seeking some actual skunky buds and nobody ever has it. Whats the skunkiest bud?

  42. David Regan on August 7, 2023 at 12:16 am

I used to smoke pot all the time, but not anymore. I grow it though, and love the smell of it! My problem is curing. I just might smoke some just to see if I did it right. I have a lot of friends that will love to try it too!

  43. KARLA TERHARK on August 7, 2023 at 12:21 am

I have big plants with big buds and I think I am ready to cultivate but not sure

  44. Jason Tran on August 7, 2023 at 12:22 am

    CVault vs Grove bags.
    cvault < GROVE BAGS!
HUGH WIN. Grove bags are far cheaper and they cure without the need of tossing and turning while also maintaining optimal humidity as long as you didn’t over dry.

  45. Roel on August 7, 2023 at 12:24 am

To Louis Cole, mixing and mastering is the same thing. And it works 🙂

I got that problem of to much. Would food grade buckets be OK?

  50. Maarten Denhartog on August 7, 2023 at 12:31 am

Dude….I don’t think the terpines are affected by wet or dry trim. I believe yes wet is super sticky but like is a better product. If you handle…shake… or trim the tricomes are brittle and dryer. They would fall off making it less potent. If it’s wet trime it’s gooy…er or it’s wet and sticky not dry or brittle.. Stays on buds better wet than dry..and your thoughts?
