NOVA investigates the story of cannabis from the criminalization that has disproportionately harmed communities of color to the latest medical understanding of the plant. What risks does cannabis pose to the developing brain? How much do we know about its potential medical benefits? As cannabis becomes socially accepted, scientists are exploring its long-term health consequences.

TBI survivor here, cannabis shuts my brain down so I can sleep at night. I’d rather take something from the earth vs chemical legal drugs like Tylenol PM
Here’s a tip. If you know someone who won’t even try an over the counter CBD pill then you can bet they will hate the real stuff. The only thing I truly find bad about marijuana is getting caught by complet Assholes who suddenly want nothing to do with you even if they don’t call the popo, getting shuned still hurts.
I am disabled with ptsd , neuropathy, degenerative disc disease and fibromyalgia.
I qualify for medical marijuanna but my state isn’t legal … so therefore I either have to purchase illegally or suffer .
I am 7 years clean from narcotics and benzos and will never go back to those crazy pills 💊
It’s just ashamed that there are patients like me , who have to suffer 😔.

A pot-bust is a great way to get minorities "into the system." That system used to be jail. Then prison. Then the "Criminal Justice System." Now it has morphed into the even more profitable "Prison Industrial Complex." WTH?
I have not smoked since my teens (25 years ago..) I am also a PTSD veteran. I usually drink wine at night, trying to forget about the day and get some sleep at night. However, sometimes, depending upon my environment/situation, the wine might make me a little too turned up and/or triggered. Another vet recently invited me to spend the week out of town. I was concerned at first, but determined to chill out. He gave me a 100mg edible. I took about a 20mg bite of it, just in case (he was actually trying to get me to eat 2 whole ones; but I had already had a cognac and cola.) I was so relaxed, once that edible kicked in!! I was laughing, eating, and drinking water more than usual. It was bliss. I had no anxiety, but a good night and good sleep 🥰😁

Cannabis can help you through some rough spots… possibly keep someone from committing suicide… but I think that if it’s not serving a useful purpose… and is just used as an Escape like alcohol or other drugs… for recreation and one becomes dependent and begins using it for coping with their feelings by numbing out.. it can become an end in itself… causing lack of motivation, alienating oneself from Society and even becoming emotionally unavailable 2 family… and creating problems that would not otherwise exist… I personally would not want to be stoned should something happened to one of my loved ones that required My immediate and complete attention! And you never know from one minute to the next what life is going to throw your way … sometimes things are going just great! And in a Split Second something could go completely wrong… and since God breathed life into Adam and he was decieved by evil… we are at battle… and we fight an unfair enemy who is constantly waiting for that split second.. to completely destroyed us! So Just Like Everything Else…a good thing also has a dark shadow…!!! and
I beg to differ i believe the testing process to have been underway for a LONG time as a matter of fact I concider it finnished and the data is all around you just look…climb in your time machine and join us in the present

I love the equal look from both sides very much. As of recently re-expirimenting with the drug open my eyes more than what it did 25yrs ago. But I will even admit that I’m no heavy avid user but when I fell into the dab pens, that constant use of higher levels moved my lack of motivation to lower levels. It just took me a while… and a few edibles… to understand its downfall. I got addicted on the escape that I chased the wrong reasons. Watching this hopefully will help me dry up a bit and see if I can regain the lower levels positives to maybe help where I’ve fallen but not trip me up for a fall. You just have to pull in your pride and accept that maybe you’re not built like the others that can. You’re initially ailments may be what’s causing to not be able. Don’t get cocky. #staymoist

There is no question. It is black and white. Proof is in the pudding. I never worry myself, any fraction of a second, what brand of cigarettes, anybody smokes at any time. Ever. Never mind its unmanipulated by man and perfect. If you don’t believe me, try it and see for yourself. We’re ready to start talking about reparations from our governments war on its own people .

I have a medical cannabis card relocated to a state which doesn’t have the medical cannabis program, what do u do? You can’t cross state lines with it and opioids doesn’t help fibromyalgia pain. This should me legal in every state.

I’ve been high for the past 32 years. Began before puberty, at age 14. It has been a long and pleasant addiction.
Medical marijuana is real. But it might be 2% of the use. The rest is people whom screw up their lives and other’s.
40,000 Americans currently behind bars for marijuana possession. What number are on probation/parole and have had their families destroyed, made victims of a victimless crime?

Cannabinol cant pass thru the blood brain barrier. They mst go through the liver where its converted into a metabolite that will pass through. Everywhere else they readily attach to receptors.

I know several people who were addicted to weed. My brother, brother in law and others in my life who couldn’t stop if they’re life depended on it.
The FDA will never approve cannabis, it should be obvious. FDA is federal, pharmaceuticals fall under federal and currency is federal.
