  2. Marie Barr on May 16, 2022 at 4:14 pm

They can prescribe opioids but not cannabis ?

  3. Wendy73 on May 16, 2022 at 4:14 pm

This country’s policy on Cannabis is embarrassing. If the government can’t make a profit from it legally, I wonder how much they’re making from it illegally???

  4. phillip wareham on May 16, 2022 at 4:15 pm

According to the BMJ SSRI’s are 88% placebo and for PTSD 20% of patients achieve remission from SSRI’s yet 71% of patients achieve remission from PTSD with cannabis.

  5. Lukas Wint on May 16, 2022 at 4:16 pm

  6. scotsman242424 on May 16, 2022 at 4:18 pm

100% cannabis should be legal, no good argument against it imo

  7. Dragon Shadow on May 16, 2022 at 4:21 pm

I think it should be totally legalised because then it becomes a treatment for only the rich that can afford it and the people that really need it but can’t afford it will do the illegal way because they can’t afford the prescription pluss people could get the strain they need instead of something that mite be to strong or not the strain they need i suffering from IBD and sometime the pains are so bad but the pills I have to take have terrible side effects witch has effected my liver and kidneys now as well and if I had access to it then I would have all the other problems I have now because of the pill I have had to take over the years

  8. Scooby Snaxx on May 16, 2022 at 4:23 pm

  11. As-if If-as on May 16, 2022 at 4:25 pm

Thailand has so I think we are being stooopid.

I was just reading about a British 60yr old woman who’s smoked weed for 40yrs.

We either legalise now and become a world player or be left behind.

  12. Chris Smith on May 16, 2022 at 4:25 pm

Living in the UK is like living in a prison…

  13. Rob B on May 16, 2022 at 4:28 pm

The argument about getting rid of street dealers is never going to happen the goverment always over price and tax they couldn’t control it as an illegal substance but if a large percentage of the people you represent want it legal you as there representatives should do it

  14. captain Lupo on May 16, 2022 at 4:30 pm

The fact that weed is illegal in the uk and your not allowed to grow, possess or even smoke anywhere in the uk is absolutely ridiculous! FACT!

I’m a born English man that is law a abiding citizen to a certain degree. I don’t carry knives I don’t steal and I don’t kill but I do smoke weed occasionally. The things I have read and seen are crazy. You have so many debates and so called intelligent people on this subject which is really a joke!

It’s common sense legalise weed. The tax mans revenue will increase by large sums it will reduce gang crime by putting drug dealers out of business and you can also have better funding for policing and for the NHS. Also you smoke and drive your getting fined. I could go on but it really is a no brainer! Stop wasting your time gas bagging and legalise cannibis!

  15. Boco Cryce on May 16, 2022 at 4:30 pm

Legalise everything save for opiates and benzodiazepines which will require prescription. Tax drugs and regulate them properly. Provided unadulterated products in various strengths. Minimum age of 25; no ID no sale. Clearly state all risks on packaging. Provide a system of rehabilitation and support where needed. The British system wasn’t too far removed from this. As the police officer said; adoption of the American system of prohibition is where we went wrong. Politicians have been fighting and losing (spectacularly) a war on drugs for 60 years. Its time to try something different.

  16. Paul Mahon on May 16, 2022 at 4:32 pm

We will be talking about it for decades to come her in the UK mean while people suffer go to prison lives ruined over a mater all ready resolved freedom of choice it’s a god given😇time for the UK to catch up legally with the rest of the western hemisphere we are not slaves or sacrificial cash cow

  17. Mark Johnson on May 16, 2022 at 4:33 pm

    Cannabis increases heart rate??

Where did that come from.? I’ve never ever heard that before

    Not sure if thats true??

  18. Andy Howard on May 16, 2022 at 4:33 pm

It’s don’t belong to the government , it belongs to the people and humanity only !

  19. DOC WHO on May 16, 2022 at 4:34 pm

lol Why do they say, the recreational STREET user? like people who have to buy from the local dealer is any different to someone who gets ripped off with government weed lol. These people are deluded if they think the government cannabis is any different? Its the same plant! Just grown in fancy grow houses. If people were aloud to grow their own without having to hide it, people would also invest in clean grow rooms and know exactly what nutrients have been used that are safe. What does prohibition do? Stops people from growing their own and then have to turn to the blackmarket where they don’t know what PGRs have been used. And stop with whole this is Skunk and that is medical lol. Skunks just the nick name for cannabis. The name comes from one of the original strains. Skunk 1..

  20. Andy Howard on May 16, 2022 at 4:36 pm

It might lighten up some of them kuntz that try to rule us !!

Alcohol is way more dangerous LEGALISE THE WEED EVERY WHERE

  23. ughidunno on May 16, 2022 at 4:38 pm

Methamphetamines are sold legally in the UK to ppl w ADHD despite the risk of psychosis. Binge drinking also increases your risk of developing psychosis and exacerbates depression.
While cannabis does have these risks, it must be noted that it can’t be a reason to keep it illegal as our own legal drugs carry just as much (if not more) risk to health

  24. Graham M on May 16, 2022 at 4:38 pm

    No

  25. Pelpington on May 16, 2022 at 4:38 pm

I’ve been a heroin addict and an alcoholic. Weed is the only drug I can use and not have it ruin my life. I started smoking weed when I stopped smoking heroin and it saved my life

  26. C G on May 16, 2022 at 4:39 pm

it isn’t a crime when big pharma grow a plant, process it and then sell it to someone for a massive profit however, when a citizen chooses to grow their own plants for use as a medicine they’re criminalised by the judges and courts…money talks!

I always wondered why parents weren’t just growing their own. Now I understand that it’s doctors and pharmacists telling cannabis-naïve parents that their cannabis is "better". I really hope parents just learn how to do it themselves. Please don’t believe that cannabis from the doctor is somehow better. And medical cannabis is psychoactive. Why are people so obsessed with the fact that someone might be high? Who cares?!?!

  32. TheSexyJesusMan on May 16, 2022 at 4:49 pm

"Skunk" isn’t dangerous, you saps – even when the people on this channel are right they still manage to sound like a bunch a crusty old boomers.

  33. UKcounterTroll on May 16, 2022 at 4:50 pm

You was debating weed again just, I really didn’t like how you tried to make it look bad, I won’t be watching no more !

  34. Scooby Snaxx on May 16, 2022 at 4:51 pm

its laughable modern day skunk ? its always been skunk since Skunk no 1 was about in the Early 90ts i told you the problem associated with the mental health issues is down to the unadulterated rubbish been sold on the streets its got naught to do with potatancy! just look America look how high their percentage of THC are in some of their strains . and been grown with care and the consumers are getting a clean product! tho us in the uk well its not good put it 1 way! Answer imo is to legalise it tho I feel its 2 late now as the damage has already been caused because of proabition….

  35. Killtheriddick on May 16, 2022 at 4:51 pm

Please please just one thing,no one in the history of cannabis has ever died..and sorry it can hold back cancer.

  36. Little Wolf Taima on May 16, 2022 at 4:53 pm

Medical cannabis rarely has over 1% CBD unless it’s a specifically developed strain like Warlock? Medical cannabis is the same cannabis plant, period, we are not even talking about industrial hemp here. The terpene profile of cannabis is just as if not more important than the cannabinoid ratio and as such people with e.g. anxiety are usually better off on indica with higher amounts of myrcene etc CBD is neuroprotective but can be psychoactive in itself. I suppose you’re no more high than medicated than if you took prescribed benzodiazepines or amphetamines only you cannot administer a lethal does to yourself with raw flower.

Stop comparing cannabis to more addictive, les effective and outright more dangerous drugs. We already have legal heroin, it was invented by the pharmaceutical industry. It’s called diacetylmorphine and no one thinks you’re a druggy if they give it to you at the hospital, so why should using cannabis which is no where near as hardcore a drug have stigma attached for any reason other than arbitrarily a deciding cannabis is bad because it is illegal without ever questioning why

  37. Its a fractal. on May 16, 2022 at 4:53 pm

HOW IS THIS EVEN STILL BEING QUESTIONED???????? THE LAW SHOULD’VE NEVER EXISTED IN THE FIRST PLACE… IT MADE NO SENSE IN THE FIRST FUCKING PLACE!!!!!!

IT’S MEDICINE, IN ITS NATURAL FORM.
    Mental health issues would plummet…
People all over the world would be out enjoying weed, munching, chatting, dancing, having mental breakdowns but with decently calm and not totally inebriated company, who would offer council to them, something they’ve maybe been needing for years. People worldwide, would bond like never before with those around them, in a multicultural society like the one we have gradually worked our way into since the genesis of these ridiculous rules… IT WOULD BE NOTHING SHORT OF MAGICAL. IT SIMPLY MUST BE DONE. POST HASTE.

    JESUS WILLS IT I SAY!

THE BENEFITS FAAAAR OUTWEIGH THE COSTS (VIRTUALLY NOTHING, A FEW MORE STONED PEOPLE TO DEAL WITH).

  39. Paul Mc on May 16, 2022 at 4:57 pm

When you look at the huge list of side effects with all medications it’s criminal that cannabis is not legal

    is caffeine a drug !

  41. Jam Jia on May 16, 2022 at 4:59 pm

The "Ma" in "Ma-rihuana" comes from the Chinese word for hemp/cannabis which is Ma.

  48. Yorrik Hunt on May 16, 2022 at 5:08 pm

Would be good if they stopped using the word marijuana. Also in my experience vaping buds is the way to go. So much cleaner, efficient and massive reduction in smell depending on what temperature you vape at. Pain relief is amazing .

  49. DEADEYE DUNCAN FROM KOTOR on May 16, 2022 at 5:10 pm

It will be legalised in UK Soon

  50. Mike on May 16, 2022 at 5:10 pm

Some very good points made for why cannabis should be legalised but some of the comments show how far behind the UK is with its knowledge. If they’re going to mention cannabis and psychosis they should make it a lot clearer that there is peer reviewed and documented research that found no evidence cannabis causes psychosis, it showed that people suffering with underlying psychotic issues were more likely to look towards cannabis for relief which often hasn’t helped. I wish they would stop using the term skunk for high THC weed, he actually said high quality, if you look at the cannabinoid and terpene profile of skunk its not that high. Skunk has also been used in a lot of earlier medical research and found to have some very good medicinal properties. I wish they would start using modern research. Legalisation needs to happen for recreational immediately, its the only way to end the black market and give access to all that need it. Medical cannabis is meant ot be legal in the UK, just impossible to get through the NHS and privately its far too expensive for thousands of families. Cannabis can help a lot more medical conditions than our current system will allow when there’s world wide evidence to prove that cannabis works
