Awesome video
my weed got wet by the rain a whole QP is it still good ?
You never said how to get rid of the hay smell
Literally couldn’t have said it better myself
My auto Alaskan purple Is almost there but not very potent lol 😆😅
awesome topic to talk about
What are your thoughts on burb lids for mason jars? Also grove bags?
Wtf is celsius? Lol, American here!
Regarding Boveda pack size, is it just the size 8 I should get or should I get size 1 also? I am guessing but expect 1-2 Ounces from my runt and 2-3 Ounces from each of my bigger 3 so not storing any big amount for long. It will be gone before grow 2 is ready if that matters but I do want to learn about storing properly now that I am growing. It says size 1 = coverage for 3.5g, would 3x size 1 cover a small 15g jar for example? What do the size 8 cover up to? You ever put a size 8 and add in some size 1’s also because more bud in the jar? Thanks in advance.
What do you guys think about the grove bags
Autos and photos
You have very nice friends then. Everyone I know doesn’t care and rather watch everyone suffer and fail so people buy from them instead. Lmao. Yes it’s sad actually.
I’m growing autos any advice Joe, I’m in flower
Gaddam i follow u on ig…. Y not youtube? Im here now
I like a silicon pack in each jar and it works great every time…
Yo I just some amnesia the buds look well produced but it’s missing that skunk smell would putting it in a jar bring back that skunky smell ?
Great info. I find for best flavour and smell a dry trim is the way to go. I think the leaves left on the plant hold the smell in and also slow the drying process. Just bought a new humidifier yesterday for my drying area. I started some Gelato Autos and Bruce Banner autos, as I prepare for my second autoflower grow.
Does the smell affect the potency?
No no no no no no no. I literally just watched u and first thing u do like all others is give incorrect advice, well I’m 2 minutes in and so far 2 incorrect false statement. 1st, u told them they get the hay smell if they dried to fast etc, thats false. Even at 60°F and 60% RH (which is the best environment) you will still have chlorophyll smell aa the plant depletes it, that’s perfectly normal, it’s part of the dry. It becomes bad when you dry to fast or at to high of temp and low humidity etc and the plant is 90% complete dry yet chlorophyll is still depleting and now they locked it in the bud because they dried it to fast. That’s the issue, not that you smell it, but when you smell it after depleting it. It’s normal g to smell it while it’s drying. 2nd, NEVER EVER EVER put a bovida pack in the jar while you are burping it, because it affects the sweating process. Wait until the sweating process is over. When u no longer have to burp it daily and its holding its current moisture level with ok stability. If this morning ur meter in the jar says 57% and the next day it says 56% and 10 hours later it says 57% then you can be confident the moisture level is stable which means the sweating process is 90% complete. Now, you no longer have to burp it daily. Now you can add the boveda pack to the jar but NEVER EVER EVER EVER add the boveda pack while it’s sweating because the curing process and the boveda pack is not doing the samething. Infact, the sweating process is still in the drying process, it’s just a controlled dry. Your drying the last remaining moisture out the bud manually. The sweating process is depleting any all remaining Chlorophyll. The boveda pack will affect the sweating process which will alter the Flavornoids and Terpenoids. Add 2-3 weeks after you jar and perfect, then u can add the boveda pack.
what’s weird is my one plant I am growing outdoors smelled like heaven last weekend and today it does not smell right any advice?
The hay smell is pretty common. It goes away during the jar / curring process.
I’m in.
I keep trying batches of great weed there aren’t coming out like you’re supposed to
Would be cool if you had a video on how to dry and your methods on how to tell when they are dry. Would also be nice to know if there is a way to properly dry when working with temps of 70-72 deg. Fahrenheit. What would a tear get humidity be with working with that temp. That’s what I’m working with. I think a lot of new growers aren’t set up for 60 deg. Thanks for the video. Keep it up. 🤙
Auto
I cure in a 2 x 4 tent. I use humidifier in the room but not the tent. My cure is now perfected. No fans. I pull air they cure tent into grow tent and out the window. I’m getting good at this shit. Just grew some white widow one blueberry and one amnesia haze. They are all bomb ass weed for my 3rd grow. Buy some small humidors to put in jars. Your weed will get better and better as it cures. Curing is just as important as growing for optimum flavor and effect.
"are you living at a horsebarn?"
🤣😅🤣😭🤣
Lol accent impressions lol
thanks so much
Hey Grower Joe. I was just mixing up the top layer of soil gently before I water after recently adding my 2nd and final touch up of GG dry ammendments and a possible video topic came to my mind.
Think ahead to grow #2 or #3 for me I am super interested in making my own compost tea. I hear about very good results so would love your input on compost tea. Especially and particularly if you have first hand knowledge of good results. If you put out a rough guide to it I would use your guide for sure. If its not your deal right now no worries just throwing it out there.
That’s a terrible English accent 🤣🤣🤣
Great video as always, I love how enthusiastic and energetic you are, keep doing what you do my good man 👍 and I’m still coming to Canada to teach ya how to roll 😁
good info ty joe that will help me out !!!!
I am a first time grower. A friend gave me a couple of autos and they did much better than I thought they would outdoors with just water. The problem is, I am not set up at all for the drying. I dried them in the garage, where the temp got to mid 70’s and of course, after two weeks of disgustingly humid weather, the humidity dropped to below 45%. So, it dried much faster than I wanted it to (two days) and it is now sitting in jars with 62% pack. Is it too late to save it? Will the smells come back at all? And most importantly, can we still USE it!?? Thanks for the vids. They were very helpful.
Jarring your buds too early can cause the hay smell also. Make sure your buds are dry before you cure them or you’ll funk up your buds also. I grow autos and photos. First time listener. Saw you on another podcast as a guest. I agree with the too fast of a dry also being a culprit. Low and slow Jungle Boys style. 60 humidity 60 degrees Fahrenheit whole plant hang no leaves taken off for two week at least but until the main sticks crack when bent and the buds break off without leaving a string. Then I sweat the buds a day or two in paper bags. Then once between 10 and 12 percent moisture on my moisture meter they go into Grove bags then no burping involved. Grove bags allow for the best cure. New technology. Hit them up for a free sample. Email them your YouTube channel info and ask to test some Grove Bags. I bet they send you some to test bro.
4 grows under my belt and starting my second auto run! Such a great hobby
Love the videos! Not to long and straight to the point!
I grow photos, with an auto amongst it for an extra fun twist. It’s just cool to have one girl ready faster than the rest.
Lmao. Are we on a horse farm?? Lol
I love this. Simple but bot to simplistic and straight to the point. Idk how you don’t have more views.
Thanks
Dude u got a tri-pit!!! 👍 i got a tri-pit male n a blue female. Your videos rock bro keep up the good work 🤘
Great video just picked up some of your auto bags finally!
🔥
Thank you joe for this dank video salute from #Cali
🔥
Long live Grower Joe. I was wondering about wet vs dry trim but this video generated a great comment and your response cleared up any confusion I had. Dry trim incoming. I will be tapping into your merch soon as a thank you no doubt about it. Thank you Grower Joe.
You only want to use humidity packs for long term storage, and even then there are special jars called cvault that holds the pack so it doesn’t touch your buds. You can avoid the packs for long term by vac sealing the buds.
Great tips fam!
