You can liven up your water by taking a 5 gal bucket with a small hole at the bottom, fill with your compost and run a gallon of water through it.

I use Sea moss gel that’s been fermented with em-1 & molasses , it contains 92 of the 105 minerals found on Earth. If you supplement with seaweed, you will have all 105.

What about aloe Vera with your watering good stuff

  20. @henrydillshaw3442 on March 2, 2024 at 7:44 am

    Interesting listen.

I have spring tails in my 3 gallon pots right now . Fully organic .

Now I think people chuckle when you say syn-ganic because you’re defeating the purpose .

You can’t be a vegan and eat meat sometimes you kno what I mean ?

Now I’m not saying this syn-ganic doesn’t work but it really just seems like a waste of money .

Why feed the plant with synthetics if you’re already properly feeding the soil with organics …

    That’s the difference

  21. @mrmac19138 on March 2, 2024 at 7:46 am

  24. @bobnelson270 on March 2, 2024 at 7:49 am

Hand watering is best. Not constant watering with systems….. You need to use moisture meter, and you will never over water. Very easy.

  25. @sunnyinbectopiad2g2c63 on March 2, 2024 at 7:50 am

Well, there’s the answer for the question on the website about the water. Looks like he can grab himself about 1/ fourth of a cup and take that shit home lol.

Aquatic plants also offer a plant growth regulator. That regulator may be observable in very short time with plant appearance as it is available to the plant for immediate uptake.

  30. @sunnyinbectopiad2g2c63 on March 2, 2024 at 7:55 am

My dad would just bring home all of the shark or catfish that we get on his line while fishing for his pompano. He lived off of his quarter acre city lot with sand. So I guess there’s something to that fish.

  39. @astralthoughts on March 2, 2024 at 8:11 am

So say I have a fair amount of ash and half burnt remnants from cashing out my pieces. Would it would work as a type of bio-char? Would it have any benefit to throwing it in when I mix up a batch of soil?

  40. @dion8962 on March 2, 2024 at 8:11 am

Im using natures pride organic nutrients and having amazing results. I make a guano compost tea and use it with the product line.. top dress.. aminos etc.. excellent results!

  45. @rayjay8322 on March 2, 2024 at 8:15 am

Earthboxes are extremely easy! Properly instructed, is very easily possible for a first time grower to have quite a decent result!
The power of the Earth box is twofold. The plant essentially creates two root systems. One is mainly for water and the other is mainly for nutrients. The plant develops a relationship in the wicking areas where the clean fresh nutrient free water in the reservoir is what the plant mainly taps for water usage due to VPD and plant growth. The feeder roots can now gather nutrients THAT IS NEEDS from the media and Most importantly the nutrient Mound that you form on top of your regular media. By having two root systems, you are not FORCING your plant to take up nutrients with the moisture it NEEDS. It can get that from the reservoir.
My first nutrient mound top dressing is done at the time of Filling the Earthbox. It’s mainly geared for veg but does have some flower nutrients. The second and the last nutrient mound top dressing is usually done within the first week of flower. This gives it plenty of time to be enacted on by the microbes and other helpers to be ready for plant utilization when it needs it.
I try my best to make sure that no nutrients are in the reservoir water. Now I do put certain ferments and other things into my reservoir water. In every reservoir fillings, I add one quarter teaspoon of the very high quality humic acid to 5 gallons. I also use EM1 At one teaspoon per gallon. the last two runs I have been weekly altering between that and Fermented insect frass.
The Earthboxes benefit from a slight dry down period. Since water use is varies at different stages, I just use muscle memory to know when the girl has lightened up enough. And that’s usually when I add any liquid nutrients that may be needed for quick absorption or with giving a treatment with a Recharge and compost tea.
Above all, do not follow the directions that comes with the Earthbox. They recommend an insanely amount of dolomite lime.
That’s pretty much just the basics. I do quite a bit more to my base media. I developed this from Jeremy of BAS and his 10×10 tent Youtube series, but I have expanded and refined his methods.
Juniors are better for the first timer and will suffice for most people’s needs and growing cannabis. A junior will Establish that relationship with the wicking area usually within 15 days of Sprout. That’s because the wicking area in a junior are on either side close to the plant in the center. This makes Juniors an extremely good candidate for auto flowers.

Regular Earthboxes are best utilized for your bigger girls and for outside. A couple of years ago I grew a 9 foot tall 5 foot wide Asian Haze in a Regular Earthbox. At its max rate of water consumption, it would drain the 3 gallon reservoir within 32 hours.
It does take the plant a good bit more time to get that relationship established in a Regular Earthbox. I have modified the media separator of a Regular Earthbox by adding the wicking areas from a junio to either side of the plant. This should help establishing that relationship with the reservoir in a much quicker fashion and I will be testing it on a large auto later this year.
After that first silly grow Using Earthbox recommendations,I’ve only had one girl not give stellar results and that was because she was extremely heavy feeder and I did not check the root intrusion into the nutrient mound close enough to gage her usage. Still great results just not what it could have been. Don’t be afraid to make that nutrient mound large. It’s not gonna harm anything or introduce any sort of lockout due to any excessive nutrients……… naturally with the in reason. The plant will just take what it needs from the nutrient mound.

Laying down microbes Sunday morning is a sacred time for me and my plants 🪴I start my brew every Saturday morning and then lay them down just a couple hours before lights out the next day.

  47. @richardskull5279 on March 2, 2024 at 8:18 am

Build a soil 3.0 and following their schedule got me through my 1st frow successfully

  48. @bobnelson270 on March 2, 2024 at 8:18 am

If you want to be a excellent grower, get a moisture meter. Never water without first checking if soil is wet under 4 inches of soil. Finger method is useless

  49. @MrGreenotwo on March 2, 2024 at 8:19 am

Scotty ‘Da man’ Real asking questions like a new grower would. Love this potcast ! Can’t get enough of this or Jug Dealers. Thank you all for the information you share.

Shit, Drano you got microscopes? I love microscope’s. I got two of them. One in the house and one in the shop. There’s nothing I don’t want to look at.
