How long do I leave my plant in the dark before harvest and do i flush more while in darkness?

  2. Fletcher Watson on November 22, 2023 at 1:31 am

Out of curiosity, how uncomfortable IS wearing a corset? Ive no desire to ever put one on. Id think uncomfortable as f*ck?

If you grown in hydro you have to flush. It’s not a slight difference. Plants taste horrible if you use salts in hydro. I’ve had people tell me the plants taste like chemicals when I didn’t flush.

  5. Joseph Pavlis on November 22, 2023 at 1:33 am

If you watch the full video, they actually say there were 62 or 64 participants that were involved with the test. So it wasn’t just a couple of testers. Your comments are also appreciated as it does seem to make a difference in probable time spent drying and curing for the non flushed plants. Plus costs and time personally spent mixing nuts etc. What I found interesting is that the worst tasting etc samples were the plants only flushed 7 days. So it does make sense that at least 10 to 14 day flush is better than just a week. This is important because sometimes in an outdoor grow ot becomes necessary to cut down sooner rather than later because of ripening. You sometimes don’t have 14 days to flush because that plants for reasons of outdoor temperatures and other factors play a role in how fast they ripen. Recently in our area we were having temperatures ranging from the high 80s in the day. ALL the way down to 50 at night. It really spead up the ripening time by a great magnitude. One day your looking at white pistols, the next 50 percent have darkened. Plus trichomes all of a sudden are all milky. So now it’s time to make a decision to flush for a couple of days ofr just skip it. The leaves are also turning yellow on there own faster than otherwise would have happened during a flush. It’s truly time to cut to save the quality of the medical quality of the plants. Not all but three quarters. Thanks for your time and help.

If you are using nutrients you have to flush for a smoother experience. I’ve tested it on multiple runs. I always cure for over 2-3 month. Newer growers prob won’t wait that long but as your yield gets bigger and better you’ll have the time to cure that long and produce better flower.

    Sorry to correct you Chris
Great work mate love your vids

  8. poopybutthole on November 22, 2023 at 1:38 am

I’ll probably keep flushing, sounds like it doesn’t hurt the plants so why use the extra nutes if the plant doesn’t really need them?

  9. Single Source on November 22, 2023 at 1:39 am

its very possible that rx technologies has an incentive in getting a study that says they don’t have to flush. I don’t believe the bs.

  10. AlphaScienceMathRegression on November 22, 2023 at 1:39 am

There have been even more recent studies also indicating flushing is not desirable.

I ask everyone that flushes, where do the metals and minerals go? (Reminds me of natural detoxes that "pull" toxins out of your body. They don’t.)

    Do they evaporate? No

    Do they disappear? No

    Do they change? No

Are they still present in the flower? Yes

  11. Garden Talk with Mr. Grow It on November 22, 2023 at 1:40 am

Do you flush your plants before harvest? What’s your reason for doing it? Will you still flush after seeing the information in this video?
Edit: Lots of people asking why I crossed out the word cannabis and replaced with MJ. The reason is because I am attempting to abide by YouTube’s policies. YouTube often censors, shadow bans, issues warnings, and issues strikes for content revolving around that particular plant 🙁

Thank you for your advice it’s helped me alot! I was wondering my 4×2 tent I have the SF-2000! Can I or should I daisy chain my G3000 300 to maximize results or is it too much?

Mr. Grow It knows his stuff. He points things out in such a logical fashion. I find his tutorials informative as well as entertaining. So sit back and get schooled 🤓

  16. Bryan Stewart on November 22, 2023 at 1:47 am

Dry it longer, and you won’t have the chlorophyll taste after 2 weeks. I shoot for 16-21 days dry time in complete darkness.

  17. Russell Tonnesen on November 22, 2023 at 1:48 am

IDK why it should take this long to explain this, do a five minute presentation and I might understand.

  18. Isaac Santiago on November 22, 2023 at 1:48 am

I feel that the 14 day flush (which clearly breaks down chlorophyll on the leaves. I mean, you can see it!) is more beneficial. Idk how they concluded that the taste was "just ok". It doesn’t sound logical. I think that the test subjects were just super stoned when it came to the questionnaire 😂.

  19. Juice Patrol on November 22, 2023 at 1:52 am

I don’t trust this study. They should have showed what the chlorophyll levels are for each.

  20. KEN THE PEN on November 22, 2023 at 1:54 am

Flushing is unnecessary is the bottom line…thank you Mr. Grow It for flushing the dogma and rebutting it with science…you know the fine print is often overlooked

  21. Cecil Rotnem on November 22, 2023 at 1:54 am

Hi.. I have a question. So marijuana is more then likely going to be legalized this November in Ohio. I do NOT smoke weed… but I love growing it more then anything in the world. I plan on starting a marijuana growing YouTube Channel. What can I do with all the weed I grow once it’s legal to grow in ohio.? Can I give it away to my subscribers? Can I send it threw the mail? Can I give it away for free? Thank you to all who help me 🙂 I don’t want to break the law. Thanks 😊😊

  22. Bryan L. Price Sr. on November 22, 2023 at 1:55 am

I am a 12 year old grower, I don’t flush I have found NO difference with trial and error experiments. Keep up the great work!

  23. wardaldo69 on November 22, 2023 at 1:55 am

In my decades of personal experiences I’ve found that with Correct drying process (& into curing) this allows for no flushing with no effect on taste etc..But like I stress , slow/ correct drying process. Most people I find completely rush the initial drying process though ☹️🌱 & That part alone is where peeps can overlook the most/ become inpatient etc …& yet imo it’s as crucial (or more) as the growing phase 🌱 🌍

  24. Society Lost on November 22, 2023 at 1:56 am

Was the study done by the nutrient makers? Lol

  25. sederquest on November 22, 2023 at 1:56 am

So what cause black ash and sparkling then…

So once it’s over fed it’s over fed, flushing won’t do anything there

  26. porkoholic on November 22, 2023 at 1:58 am

No more flushing… Im just gonna water to the last 2 weeks

  27. REMAKE YOUR OHM on November 22, 2023 at 1:59 am

When do pistils stop growing in flower. Or do they just keep growing to the end

  28. Tokamak on November 22, 2023 at 1:59 am

The concentrate results seem significant for 0-day.

  29. martin kasse on November 22, 2023 at 2:00 am

Flushing ONLYis helping in any kind if you fertilize too much!

  30. Matthew Rutzen on November 22, 2023 at 2:01 am

The thing is they cured the bud before the test…

  31. Phil Wynter on November 22, 2023 at 2:01 am

every time I’m at week of a successful (so far) grow I always find my watching this video again. Mr Grow It has got to be the greatest Grower on The Socials. & there’s more than a few great people who Grow on The Socials. Thank you for everything & in particular after reviewing this study thank you for letting us know not using nutrients the last 14 days is a pretty smart move.

  32. Kid Dynamite on November 22, 2023 at 2:02 am

What was the PPM/EC before the flush? That’s a huge deal. No? W/out that info there is no study. Ya know I always comment. Why am i always ignored? I’ve dedicated my life to this plant

  33. goinbzurk on November 22, 2023 at 2:05 am

Great Video! I’m new to growing and as most newbies we tend to over worry about whether we’re doing things right. A friend of mine who is much more seasoned as well as other posts on youtube say " don’t over think it! IT’s A WEED! Nature doesn’t flush or does (depending on rainfall) It grows in the wild un-pampered and unattended so logically, at least for me I’m going to "leave it alone and it should do just fine!" I’ll just water with no nutes the last 2 weeks. Curing may take longer, but I’ll have plenty of weed after harvest that eventually I’ll be able to find the optimum cure time since it’ll take quite a while to consume! Thanks for clarifying the study! Great info.

  34. Tim Turk on November 22, 2023 at 2:05 am

"Less Iron and Zinc, when using our nutrients all the way to harvest"..?!🤪🤑🤡😄😄✌️

  35. pickerelhunter on November 22, 2023 at 2:07 am

Thanks for the info …..love your content….do you have any thoughts on Advanced Nutrients Flawless Finish for the flush?

  36. D S on November 22, 2023 at 2:07 am

The difference is with dwc, means you can chop without trying to drain the last of the high ec soup they wont use.
Basically if you see any mold/pm chop it without flushing and you wont die

  37. Steven De Good MoJo Smet on November 22, 2023 at 2:08 am

Royal seed company said, it’s is mostly to air the roots.after the flush. that makes sence .

  38. no way on November 22, 2023 at 2:08 am

Dont mesure the clorophyle is not good , its the elefant in the room , everybody knows thats clorophyle gone by the time pass ,in the flush, and in the cure too, and everybody knows how bad taste. The good news is yuo dont need to waist yuor money fiding 10 or 14 days , the flush is usefull

  39. Matthew Rutzen on November 22, 2023 at 2:10 am

Yellow leaf or purple is the only time I harvest if possible because the chlorophyll is GONE I can almost roll it up as soon as it’s dried!

  40. Christopher Hegland on November 22, 2023 at 2:11 am

flushing is all hype 1% better smoke and -15% yield.

  41. Fourtay on November 22, 2023 at 2:11 am

they forgot to test for sugar

  42. Rubber Knee on November 22, 2023 at 2:13 am

Flushing reduces nutrient lock up in buds, I dont want to taste nutrients, or see sparks fly out of the buds when I burn them.

  43. Sean on November 22, 2023 at 2:13 am

The only research you need to do is grow a plant and not flush then smoke it, you’ll quickly realize it tastes like shite and to flush every plant you ever do from then on

  44. FATHERS & SONS on November 22, 2023 at 2:13 am

Growing dank is not rocket science…too much little light water.not enough darkness during the flowering almost always is a problem..if there wasnt 3 days of darkness before its harvested in the dark

  45. Matthew Rutzen on November 22, 2023 at 2:17 am

Plus this is an industry that is being government regulated and they want to be able to use nutrients, because the plant is essentially dying when you fish and you have a greater chance of losing your crop, bottom line, capitalist undertone of the study pretty
    Much

  46. matt on November 22, 2023 at 2:20 am

Man you’re so good at communicating your ideas and points.

  47. John Swoboda on November 22, 2023 at 2:22 am

It would be interesting to know how much they fed the plant. My understanding is that only overfed plants really need flushing.

  48. RACP 9mm on November 22, 2023 at 2:23 am

I call BS. I have to believe this test was done by folks who already had an idea and were already leaning one way from the beginning. Obviously you don’t want to be smoking nutes

  49. Matt Nuttall on November 22, 2023 at 2:23 am

Cleaner is tastier, in my opinion. Not a fan tasting soil (earthy). I believe in flushing it has to be healthier for you.

  50. Mango on November 22, 2023 at 2:27 am

Why flush..why brown leaves..i dont eat brown leaves😅
