Unfortunately Promix HP has doubled in price over the last year. It was cool while it lasted. I’m not paying a hundred bucks per bag.
I started growing in 2023 so my first was Jack Hera, went perfectly but I did pull it too early, was still a good smoke if not under developed. I’ve currently got 2x mature Gorilla Glue and I’ve had nothing but problems. I tried taking clones and 1 out of 5 took but that little one is so far healthy. I know have a second Jack Hera seedling and now my first autoflower, a chocolope and it’s super young, just put out its first true leaves and I’m super excited.
What I’d love to try is using living soil for my autos and just water at right PH and no need to add nutrients all through full cycle till harvest. Wonder if I would get decent results. Not too worried about getting the biggest yield possible. Thanks for letting me know. Just that it would seem so cool not to use any semi synthetic nutrients (or organic nutrient) and have organic production…If complicated just adding 2-3 times organic nutrients then…
I disagree because your TDS could be way to high, have you tested it?
Well lots of new lights state you need co2 so do some more research as co2 is must in tents with high end lights.
Worth a mention, but those cheap calibration pens don’t calibrate to ph7. I stupidly bought a cheap pen and ph buffer solution 7. The pen only calibrates to 4/6.86/9😑
Something else you should know, Many auto strains are no faster to grow than regular strains. I know that some more sativa dominant autos can take 120 days. & autos want 18-20 hrs of light for the entire grow. Regular non autos only need 12 hours for 80% of the grow. I even go down to 11 hours of light for the last 2 weeks around flush time.
I bet I could Grow a Indica dominant regular 8-9 week flower strain from a cutting and harvest it 2 weeks before a seed grown auto of any strain… Because There is no germination and seedling stage when growing from clones.
I bet this comment get’s removed before long because it’s the 100% truth that they do not want you to know. Also HPS lighting produces significantly larger yields than LEDs. IF LED’s were as Efficient as HPS then Why are commercial indoor farms producing food still using HPS?

Lemon works for pH down if your stuck and need it. It works great and lot cheaper than hydros hops,a little goes. A long way iv used it for yearsubbed good info on the toppic
Miracle grow potting soil and add a bit of extra perlite . Done .

First time growing in about 14 years. Finally legal. They did not have autoflowering seeds back in my day. I topped my plants, not sure if I’m supposed to do that with autoflowering. I was shocked when they went into Bud then I did my research. Was disappointed I could not clone them because they were already in bud at week 6. At this point they have 6 weeks of Bud left to go
I got some microryza that I use when transplanting. I take the cup out of my pot after filling it, spray some water and tap the microryza on to the wet soil then put my selling in. It seems to work great! My autos look like my photos!
I start my plant from seed at 4mil with no problems (still very new to growing)I have been using foxfarm triple pack and have killed 2 plants using the slandered feed now ive dilled down to 5 ml on everything…well for what I’m using so far(still in veg)but i mostly do this for fun so…im happy
Yo Dainton been many yrs since I sat & watched a grow video, I’m in prohibition land (STILL) so had to delete the one cycle I uploaded ( do you remember asking me what I used to hold down to train my autos ( was simple small tent pegs remember- just LST then push the peg in holding the branch?)
Me ive never used CO2 I simply use air exchange- as long as I can hold temps ill have intake/extraction as high as poss – also I never use cal/mag – coco is a Mag whore but wk 2-3 ill water with Epsom salts ( canna Pro coco) if you remember ( doubt it but maybe) I was buying Dr Earth & paying more on shipping then the actual Dr Earth, ive now found a amazing supplier ( Dr Forest- take a look a UK shop) also Dragonfli dot Co dot Uk fir pest control, The PH question- just get a new pen & calibration fluid ( blulab 4.0 & 7.0) it’s so important- failing that buying bottled it has the PH on the label- you know the PH of the water check the pens calibration against that but cmon blulab sachets are next to nothing to buy

Why is it that every auto flower video never talks about resistance to roots causing it to switch to flower and planting in larger pots allows for longer veg and bigger autos
All I use is bottle water and only 2 nutrients ones a root builder and flower time big bud only two things I used for many many many year’s be good…

If your pump was set to turn on every time your lights turned on, it’s going to put a lot of CO2 in that tent as long as you’re using a pump to push out your yeast and your sugars CO2 reaction ..
Or set the pump to run off a CO2 meter… So it turns off before it gets to high .
Also us grape juice and make wine at the same time… sugar and yeast … This way will do the best

I wouldnt give silica until like week 5 after some nice branching has set in. But thats just me.
What amendments do you always keep on hand for photos and autos.
How long does it take for autoflowers to flower?
Any way you guys that obviously are experts in growing, harvesting, drying and curing could give information on the fine details instead of talking so far over newbees heads.

Wow new to the grow tent. I have auto flower, white widow, 4×2. Very informative. I agree with mother earth soil and worm castings with bat guano for fertilizer so this will be my first grow in the tent, so I will let you know how it goes.
My 20lb c02 bottle last about 1.5 years. Best addition to any gr. Of course sealed room system. It’s the only way to go. Total control

I made a DYI co2 bottle but I got to thinking if my inline fan is constantly drawing air out of tent it would be removing the co2 faster than I could produce it lol.

@doctorautoflower which light do you have behind you? And how do you like it!!! My optic 4 just went out and I’m looking at those slim 600s models but I only have 40 1/2 inches in my room and that light is supposed to be 3 1/2” wide!!

I noticed different PAR readings with red/blue -blue/white and full spectrum at the same hight . Full spectrum is ideal

I have a 4×2 spider farmer tent i bought the package deal so i got the SF-2000 with it,, .i thought it would be a good idea to buy the SF-1000 also .now i have the two lights in the tent and the top growth on my plants ,,,only the new growth is yellow and i getting a touch of tip burn i raised the lights to about 2 foot up .my plants are also in the first week of flower .you think thats the right thing to do? i used a little bit of itonite plus just a pinch .ive used it my whole life always makes my plants beautiful green again .not on these ones though

WATER,,,, i buy 1 gal. jugs of spring water $1.30 at walmart it takes 5 drops of general hydroponics ph down to adjust it to 6.8 and the plants get the high mineral content etc. i add 1 tblspn mollasas every other watering for tasty smoke. growing in 50/50 mix FFOF & FFHF & extra worm poop,chunky perlite, dyno mico.
