    Visited SF twice in the late 1980s, when you could sneak in some weed in your underwear, predated airport x-ray machines and sniffing dogs. I found a lone head shop in The Haight and bought a cool pipe, that was smokeless,…I still use it to this day,…I’m 69, and from Ohio. We used to send our friends a hard cover book in the mail, with a couple of joints hidden in the spine. Or a paperback,…with a very flat joint in between the pages. When hashish was everywhere,….in the 1970s,….I took a train out west from Cleveland, Ohio,….with a nice stash of it. Cigarette smoking was allowed, and there were places to sneak off to between the passenger cars, where I shared my hashish. Good times.
