SAN ANTONIO — As the state of Texas once again prepares to debate the legalization of recreational marijuana, Fox San Antonio went one on one with a man who says pot is all about medicinal purposes.

The pope of weed, cannabis activist, comedian, and businessman. all of these words have been used to describe half of the famous duo Cheech and Chong. Tommy Chong says he’s been in the cannabis business since 1958, so Chong says it’s only natural they would have their strains.

“We got our own strain. Well, it’s just natural, Cheech and Chong, you know, we’re getting our own dispensary. And so it’s just natural that Cheech and Chong have our own strain, we’re the original OG’s,” said Chong.

    I got me some Skywalker OG…that’s what I like its 21% thc…when I had Covid 19 a year ago I had to quit for about a week but it seemed like it helped after I could smoke again..it was a little hard to tell because I quit smoking tobacco that week and I was still weak but it caused me to go out in the sun and every time I did I felt better…it took about a month really..

    Nothing but the best Tommy. I have to drive 3 1/2 hours to buy weed in Colorado then bring it back to Texas. With the current Governor I don’t think it will be legal in Texas any time soon.
