Great video and great info. The amount of comments below that just regurgitate internet nonsense is hilarious though.

If the grower doesn’t want to buy a good PH pen and TDS meter then they should most likely stick to soil and organic grows. If they want to fine tune their grows in short time then Definitely try indoor DWC or maybe even a Coco setup. Using proper beneficial bacteria in the reservoir pretty much eliminates DWC root rot entirely. Hydroguard is okay, but Southern Ag out of Florida offers a higher concentration for less. Believe the hydro haters if y’all want to, but every customer I ever set up with a DWC or rDWC has kept them running nonstop. Carrying buckets of water to change them out says you are doing DWC wrong and making lots of mistakes, but all mistakes can be identified and corrected in very short time with the proper items.

Perfect intro. Spot on. I listened at 1.75x speed

  3. Cyberdog Tech on March 23, 2023 at 1:59 am

Grow DWC like mad during the Fall, Winter and Spring. Then, grow outside or take the summer off.

  4. Paulie on March 23, 2023 at 2:01 am

We back to HydroFonics again Matt?!😂😁✌️💚

  5. Daniel Monteiro on March 23, 2023 at 2:05 am

damn man. that Carbo filter is a beast – by the looks of things – just keeps going n going. mine fucked out and I am gonna try re pack 😛 . just use something like a washing machine for vibrate or a generator or … lel . still.. fingers crossed for that filter bro ! sheet, bit jelly ;P

  6. Gerald Blount on March 23, 2023 at 2:05 am

If you live in a warm climate don’t do it it’s not going to work out and you better have a chiller I got away with it a couple of times but I had issues I will never do that again

  7. FNQRBASHER on March 23, 2023 at 2:08 am

Personally I’m loving it so far but this is my first time so we’ll see how it ends

  8. Hipsters & Hippies on March 23, 2023 at 2:10 am

I’m going to assume that it’s a good idea to have a 2nd bucket. To clean them and let the water sit overnight. To make sure the ph and ppm are within the range you want before swapping them around.

  9. Gerald Blount on March 23, 2023 at 2:10 am

Them water temperatures fluctuate two degrees you’re inviting bad stuff to your root Zone I mean and quick even with good water and everything clean with oxygen boiling like it’s boiling on the stove you still going to have root rot

  10. Metric madness on March 23, 2023 at 2:11 am

Really want to try DWC but the temperatures in Australia put me off a fair bit

  11. outlaw321 on March 23, 2023 at 2:11 am

I found that turn the air up just under where the bubbles aren’t spitting water out the top. Throw a frozen Gatorade bottle containing water in once a day and if autoflowers 1/4 the nutrients to half strength 5.8 is best ph and they explode node on top of node

  12. LRandle LR1 on March 23, 2023 at 2:12 am

There is so many bad designs in RDWC, it makes me cringe. From materials choice, to running lines it offends my inner plumber…

  13. wickedwonka999 on March 23, 2023 at 2:12 am

Too much monitoring with dwc. I’m a dummy, I don’t want to over complicate my grow.

  14. TwP popcorn on March 23, 2023 at 2:12 am

    Team DWC 🤌🍻👊🍿

  15. Tim Page on March 23, 2023 at 2:13 am

The extra power used the water round electronics and when shit goes wrong it happens fast turned me off from Hydro.

Have done quite a few table floods tho in rock wool and coco. These days tho I like big pots and beds of organic gardening.

  16. ROO's Goofy Growing on March 23, 2023 at 2:14 am

Great information. I thinking of trying it out in the future. GREAT CONTENT. GREAT CHANNEL. 👍👍👍😜🤪✌️🤟🤙

  17. matt mallory on March 23, 2023 at 2:16 am

I like organic living soil, but I always wanted to try hydro since I was younger.

  18. Everything man on March 23, 2023 at 2:18 am

I like your grow videos but if you want to talk about updated Grow styles and you haven’t been talking about an earth box should do a little research tonight and make a video tomorrow about it it’s a style I’ve been working on and I’ve been seeing videos lately and for the first time even build a soil uses them make sure the beginning Gardner good in a pro Gardner great

  19. Tory on March 23, 2023 at 2:18 am

Now the weather is cooler, I’ve been running them in a Dwc bucket. Crazy fast growth. See how hard I can push them.💚 your content, keep them coming. ✌

  20. Natures Healing on March 23, 2023 at 2:18 am

DWC reigns supreme!!! If u can keep ontop of it 🤙 def not a set it and forget type deal. Def have to check daily.

  21. Just in Ohio on March 23, 2023 at 2:19 am

    Sticking to soil for now

  22. Gerald Blount on March 23, 2023 at 2:19 am

Me personally I think they should have certain strains that can deal with dwc like they got certain strains that are good outside certain strains that grow good in soil certain strains grow good in Cocoa they should do an analogy of that because there’s certain strange that cannot deal with the agitated water or the dwc

  23. Keith Patton on March 23, 2023 at 2:22 am

Should be above 65 and below 72 for water temp

  24. ROO's Goofy Growing on March 23, 2023 at 2:23 am

    BRUH 👍👍👍😜🤪✌️🤟🤙

  25. Gerald Blount on March 23, 2023 at 2:23 am

Oh oh and then carrying his buckets around every 5 days or 10 days or whatever it was with the water 5 buckets you got to have 10 buckets because you got to change them over you got to watch the buckets and rinse the roots off Roots rinse the stones off wipe down the slimy hoses going into your bucket soak the stones too much work

  26. Nathan Williams on March 23, 2023 at 2:23 am

Dwc is 🔥 when done correctly

  27. Matt Neal on March 23, 2023 at 2:26 am

love all types of growing medium but when i did start to run dwc i also ran a coco/perlite mix right night to the the dwc and the coco smashed it as far as growth went it defiantly had a bigger root system tho but unno if its just dump luck but my coco yielded more and has a stronger smell coming off it late in flower was super fun but for how much work i had to put in coco just takes the cake for me far less work aswell, i dont doubt dwc does have faster growth but the one time i did run it just didnt work but awesome vid fam

  28. Gerald Blount on March 23, 2023 at 2:26 am

I like easy peasy 1 2 3 Z that’s too hard man I use Pawn equipment because the dwc equipment wasn’t hitting it good Pawn diffuses air diffusers I didn’t use regular air stones 25 $30 for one you got five different buckets six different buckets too much money man

  29. J. Heezy on March 23, 2023 at 2:26 am

DWC grower here …love it and plants are fire. Easy to manage and easy to feed. I grow each plant in its own bucket so don’t have to worry bout flooding or water on the floor. DWC for the win!!

  30. Gerald Blount on March 23, 2023 at 2:28 am

Because I did my analogy I put the same strain in the bucket from seed different plant and The Roots got root rot and then certain strains that I put in didn’t get root rot and I done that the same time that I put the the plants in that got the rootRot So this certain strains that can adapt to the water and certain strains I think this is my own opinion I think use for dwc and mind you I put these in at different times of the year basically I did dwc in the cooler months but here it doesn’t get down to 50° in the winter sometimes and that could be a problem with dwc sorry I put so much down on on your site but that’s one of the things that woke me up dwc cuz I love it but I just refuse to do it because it just creates so many problems day after day I’m an old man it’s hard for me to even get a seed man

  31. REVAMPED WRESTLING 2K on March 23, 2023 at 2:30 am

what in the green heck was that that you did at the end, did you kiss your hand? 🤣

  32. Dads Tent on March 23, 2023 at 2:35 am

Don’t think I’ve ever clicked a video so fast. Sorry youtube keeps messing with you fam but the community loves you, and I for one very much appreciate you sharing your knowledge with us! I leave every video knowing more than I did before watching and I TRUST what I’ve learned because I know you only want what’s best for us and our plants. Just wanted to say thanks again growmie, without you I never would have made it this far. I probably never would have even tried cultivating my own medicine. But now I’m never gonna stop trying!

  33. Bobby Pannell on March 23, 2023 at 2:36 am

ima give it a try someday lol i just love my soil!!!

  34. Paul Hauchon on March 23, 2023 at 2:37 am

Hello bro’. Very interesting content…. I’ve never tried DWC… The set up, the way to grow… seem to be quite perilous…but who knows…. Maybe one day I will try. Anyway thanks for sharing. Have a nice day. Peace

  35. FA Veteran on March 23, 2023 at 2:38 am

Lmao the universe speaks.. spoke to Dusa about a mini DWC, I pulled a Matt and was playing with Master Chief and now I see this video? Issa sign. DWC clone project this weekend lol

  36. Sin Eater on March 23, 2023 at 2:39 am

    😁💨💨✌️

  37. Doktor Hunggari on March 23, 2023 at 2:40 am

Explain low cost DWC. You need to purchase EC and ph meters, plural! Shop vacs and heater/coolers for the reservoirs. Air pumps for the air stones. And >$100 of nutes for one plant. DWC is expensive ✌️

  38. Joe on March 23, 2023 at 2:41 am

Wow your just mentioned all the issues I ran into. Then changed to soil. Lol

  39. Gerald Blount on March 23, 2023 at 2:41 am

    Bad root rot root rot

  40. Gerald Blount on March 23, 2023 at 2:43 am

Hey maybe you can talk about topping that hormone auxin hormone in plants cuz I have people that don’t know why they talk they’re two reasons you want to extend branches and then that hormone creates strength with all the branches AUXIN HORMONE READ UP ON THIS THIS IS AMAZING WHY DO PEOPLE TOP ASK THM I bet you they don’t know why they’re just mimicking somebody else cuz somebody told them that was good they don’t know why I asked the guy why you top he says oh that’s what you supposed to do he didn’t even know why if you can let people know why

  41. Gerald Blount on March 23, 2023 at 2:43 am

There’s another nothing to call kracky they use it in third world countries where they don’t have electricity where they let the roots halfway submerged in the water and halfway submerged out the water to grow plants I know a guy that grew a plant like that in New York not in Arizona where the weather is hot and the water is going to stay warm because that has no pumps no electricity and that invites all kinds of root rot

  42. Wild Bill on March 23, 2023 at 2:43 am

ICan, I set up a DWC today! 4 spots in a styrofoam 6 gallon container with 2 air stones. starting with Bok Choy first. we will see how it goes. Cheers bro!

  43. MK Hydro Growing on March 23, 2023 at 2:43 am

I just started DWC excited to see the different outcome from growing in soil.

  44. SLAYER420 on March 23, 2023 at 2:45 am

    I like Funguses😂😂🍄🍄

  45. Gerald Blount on March 23, 2023 at 2:47 am

You better get a chiller or you can just crossing your fingers hoping your temperatures don’t go overboard with these lights pump on agitating the water lights root rot root rot root rot that’s all I can say I’ve done it too long living in a hot climate not for me all these fancy pumps and diffusers and air stones hoses and did I say root rot and I’m going to say it again root rot hydroguard hydroguard white shark I mean even bleach peroxide cleaners they got all these peroxide cleaners they make it sound better than peroxide nah I’ll stick with cocoa

  46. lance P on March 23, 2023 at 2:47 am

I don’t chance water temps anymore. just hrdroguard and air pump… got over 4 oz off a small indica.

  47. Jack Frost on March 23, 2023 at 2:48 am

I was intimidated for years, I’m doing my first dwc run now haven’t had any issues yet 4 more weeks till harvest and for me hydroponics is Way more easier than soil 😮😲 I may only keep my mother plants in soil, unless the taste is bad🤔 from what I hear but I will see soon 👍😎

  48. Gerald Blount on March 23, 2023 at 2:50 am

F Dwc root rot root rot root rot I live in environment with stays warm all year round I can’t utilize that message that’s my preferred method but screw that I went to Cocoa and I’m not going back because it was problem after problem after problem after problem with that Hydro hydroguard hydroguard I even use Drops of bleach to save this Godfather I had and then the plant was looking good for three days and automatically just wilted and died fly problem next Heat if you going to buy a chill it’s going to cost you a good one over $500 or more if you’re doing more than one bucket or pot it’s too expensive and then you got your pumps running all the time I got a good year out of cocoa just like dwc get it for years almost 12 years with all those problems not me no more
