Zelenskyy is the destroyer of Ukraine and Europe

  2. John Boon on December 23, 2022 at 3:47 am

For 70 years the free west has spent lavishly to slow down Russian expansion and aggression. Now we can spend little and see Russian aggression and expansion relegated to third rate. Without the huge cost in cash, without any cost in lives that we were prepared to tolerate to defend ourselves if the cold war turned hot. Supporting Ukraine is incredibly good bang for the buck.

Time makes some people reach for their rose-coloured glasses. Churchill was playing with toy soldiers in his underground bunker when he sent the Anzacs to the bottom of a cliff with Turks with machine guns at the top. Churchill said from the safety of parliament "We’ll meet them on the beaches…" and then was AWOL at the Normandy landing. Trump said, "We’ll march to the Capitol…" and watched it all on TV.

  4. Francois Bouvier on December 23, 2022 at 3:49 am

How many eyes were rolling back during Churchill’s speech. Seems to me someone you know is doing a little story regarding that timeline.

  9. Green Brain on December 23, 2022 at 3:57 am

This man, born into a different language AND script, reads and speaks 100 times better than the previous president, who was born in America and “educated” in America.

  10. Putt putt on December 23, 2022 at 4:03 am

This deflection is not going work uncle Joe and Hunter are now clearly in the spot light ! More garbage !

  11. n n on December 23, 2022 at 4:04 am

I support Ukraine and zelinsky…however we in Europe are taking in Ukranians…while TRAITOR45 didn’t want to support Ukraine. Sorry but zelinsky should be thanking EUROPE AND NOT AMERICA. America didn’t want to support Ukraine unless TRAITOR45 WOULD GET A TREASONOUS MESSAGE THAT HUNTER BIDEN DID SONETHING WRONG. SORRY…WE ARE THE PEACEKEEPERS IN EUROPE NOT TRAITOR45 AMERICA. YOU ARE PART OF THE TREASONOUS PART OF RUSSIA, PUTIN AND RUSSIAN OWNED TRAITOR45.
EUROPE DOES THE RIGHT THING BUT IN AMERICA THEY DONT DO A THING

After this nightmare war is concluded, The United States should literally Sponsor parades for Volodymyr Zelinskyy and the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Every Major US City. They (as a people) have single handedly protected ALL NATO countries from Russian aggression. They have used our stockpile of weapons (produced for the singular purpose of killing Russian soldiers) and doing so without costing a single American soldier’s life to insure their proper use.
Even though I don’t have a dog in this fight, I think I want to be Ukrainian when I grow up (and I’m 58 years old now).
Funny. No snarky remarks from the former President. You Know, the one who attempted to extort Zelinskyy for dirt on his political opponent.

  13. Reggie Bald on December 23, 2022 at 4:08 am

Thank you! Such good points raised; ie, 2% of our DOD budget !

  14. Mimi 78 on December 23, 2022 at 4:10 am

Two spineless weasels sat in that room during that speech.

  15. AriSiMom on December 23, 2022 at 4:10 am

A great day for democracy, sadly there are still right wing republicans that embarrassed us by not acknowledging this moment in a positive manner, we can only hope that Greene and her like will soon be put in their place outside the halls of Congress.

  16. David Av8or Pflanz on December 23, 2022 at 4:11 am

Then there’s Florida’s Republican Congressman Gaetz, no clapping, sat in protest, like a spouled child brat, during the speech…

…I guess showing Ukraine any support would upset one of Trump’s primary foreign business partners, his ultimate master – Putin!

  17. Reverend Howl on December 23, 2022 at 4:13 am

Did he do us a favor though?

  18. Pootie Putin on December 23, 2022 at 4:14 am

Wasn’t it Barry Soetoro who sent the Churchill bust back to the Brits?

  19. carlos ponce on December 23, 2022 at 4:17 am

“Yeah!!! An unforgettable night of Warmongering Ukrainian vodka party for the end of the species 🎈 RIP planet earth 🌎!!!”

  20. Evil Dave of Canada on December 23, 2022 at 4:18 am

How many of those standing & clapping voted AGAINST more aid to Ukraine.

  21. Ollie Ox on December 23, 2022 at 4:18 am

Hard to believe that an American president – the former American president – would try to extort this man.

The shame of that and the groveling toadies who continue to support Trump should send them all back to the rat-holes they crawled out of.

  22. Daren on December 23, 2022 at 4:20 am

The changes in the US Congress is amazing. 1941, all white, all men! 2022 a much more DIVERSE group of Congress people! The USA is a much better ,STRONGER country! 🥰🤗🤗🤗🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇩🇪🇨🇭🇺🇲🌻🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🌻

A small investment for us, but at the cost of so many Ukrainian lives. If we’d done half this much when Russia took Crimea, maybe this could have been avoided. Why did we learn nothing from WW2? Appeasement never works.

  25. Toto on December 23, 2022 at 4:23 am

Churchill basically told the US the UK was ready to give up any idea of grandeur and to become the US lackey in exchange for their help. What exactly Voldemort proposing? To help destroy what remained of the trust the world was giving to the West

    You made my day. 🤡

  30. dumaguetedreamer on December 23, 2022 at 4:28 am

That speech by Churchill was 28 months after WW2 started and the US still had not joined it’s allies. Same with WW1.

  31. Joshua Strawser on December 23, 2022 at 4:28 am

The only question is if O’donnell actually believes the nonsense he says, or if he’s just the party shill that he seems to be.

Great speech brave man brave ukraina thank you Americans and all people of good will

  35. Willow_the_bob on December 23, 2022 at 4:32 am

It’s been a long time that I’ve actually felt any hope or pride, living in America. We need to continue to help these people!

  36. Greyson on December 23, 2022 at 4:33 am

For all those MAGA “FakeTriots”, the Ukrainians are fighting for their democracy. THAT is what an actual fight for democracy and freedom looks like. Putin is a threat to democracy and essentially a dictator, and our Ukrainian brothers and sisters are fighting for their country and lives. What you are doing is attempting to overthrow OUR democracy, freedom and liberty to be ourselves. You want the power to say who’s an American, who can come in, who should leave, who should be in prison, and even put to death, all based on racial and religious hypocrisy and supremacist views. Wake up, it’s not too late to stand up against hate (as cringe as that sounds).

  37. Francois Bouvier on December 23, 2022 at 4:34 am

Anyone else notice the people that remained seated and didn’t acknowledge this wonderful oratory?

  38. Cache Canada on December 23, 2022 at 4:36 am

I agree it was amazing and will go down in history as just that. A moment to remember. A speech to remember. Unfortunately the citizens of the right are lost and blind to this and will be told what to think and how to see this moment. They won’t see the parallels to WWII.

  39. Melissa Douglas on December 23, 2022 at 4:36 am

I am thankful to President Zelenskyy for reminding me of what it feels like to be proud of what the United States of America is capable of again. It’s been awhile. SLAVA UKRAINE

  40. Stephen O'Neill on December 23, 2022 at 4:36 am

Boebert and Gaetz did not applaud and stayed seated. Tucker Carlson had a go at Zylensky on Fox.

  41. Francois Bouvier on December 23, 2022 at 4:37 am

Was that MacConnell I witnessed walking upright to Zellenski. What a spineless piece of work.

  42. Shirley Stephen on December 23, 2022 at 4:37 am

We are going through a bad time fighting a giant spider here in the US we need strong leaders like this.

  43. liam mt on December 23, 2022 at 4:38 am

Why can you never tell the truth about anything . Ukrain is not a democraty . You Lied to your audience . He will not allow opposition not now or in the future . . You are a F—–k disgrace to Ireland Lawrence .

  44. DNA350ppm on December 23, 2022 at 4:38 am

Great presentation of Zelenskyy’s address to the joint session in the US Congress! Yes, it was historical moment – Zelenskyy is a great statesman, and with this invitation to him, the USA showed true leadership. May it be for peace, and may peaceful means, like this session, be dominating 2023, for Life’s sake. Thanks a lot to Lawrence O’Donnell for the insights! It is not always easy to grasp the big picture through the myopic lens of the present day. Excellent report, beautiful journalism!

Danny Devito should play the part of Zalenski in a movie portrayal of this war. Bravo 👏 Bravo!

  47. ThunderDog97 on December 23, 2022 at 4:43 am

I prefer giving Ukraine taxpayer dollars to stop an invasion…. over giving israel $4 Billion a year to perform an invasion.

Everything this man has said, 100%. And I was watching greatness tonight. President zelensky is a beacon he is a pillar, no he is much much more than a pillar, he is an immovable mountain of unprecedented courage, faith and strength
