I know Cecily will probably never read this, but you gave me some of the hardest laughs from SNL I’ve ever had. I didn’t know about Cecily’s departure announcement prior to this. Once the penny finally dropped upon seeing the still image of her with Colin on WU in her anchor days, I was stunned.
She’s definitely outgrown the show now, but she’ll still definitely be missed.

So the trend setter retired, Colleen Rafferty got taken to space as a peace offering and now our dear lady Catherine Annette Vanderbilt is going to keep it real on the inside.
It’s an end of an era in my opinion. Kate, Aidy, Vanessa, Cecily; all of them. They’re gone now 😭 they’re definitely ushering in an entire new cast and I’m anxious to see what they do. They have HUMONGOUS shoes to fill.

There’s officially no reason to watch #SNL anymore. #CecilyStrong is the last of the modern SNL greats that kept me hanging on. She was one of the funniest and most versatile cast members they’ve had in a long time and will be greatly missed on the show. With that said, I am excited for her to be expanding her career, I can’t wait to see where the future takes her!

This has to more than a coincidence. Why are all the best actors leaving SNL?
Kate McKinnon, Aidy Bryant, Kyle Mooney, Pete Davidson, Melissa Villaseñor, Alex Moffat, Aristotle Athari and Chris Redd and gone within a years time frame. The actors they are being replaced with aren’t funny. This show isn’t the same. No reason to watch anymore.
Two things I took special notice of… The look in her eyes as she spoke about her love of everyone… And her reaction and treatment of the cigarette she lite!
She is awesome can’t wait to see what the future has in store for her!
She will forever be one of my favorite cast members. Gonna miss her.
