growing outdoors in hawaii with short daylength, what is the optimal way to keep plants in the vegetative state? some say maintain 18 hours a day of light. some say 15 minutes of light in the middle of the night keeps plants in veg. I am having a hard time finding a definitive answer.

So I plant 8inch plants on July 3rd cause my grow seasons so damn short in NE cali and I got 9ft plants I’m tieing them over cause my green house is only 9ft tall they only just started budding I’m running out of room what the fuck am I doing wrong I’m working with about 68 of em so it’s not been easy working em all

Really helpful info! But I still haven’t found a video that confirms whether it’s okay to top AND train. Is always one or other, or is it a good strategy to do both? I have an indoor grow w a 1 foot tall sativa that’s already been topped once. From everything that I’ve read, I’ll need to make a decision soon.

Because I grow RDWC I would add root growth to the vegetative cycle. I understand that it goes unnoticed with soil but it is a major focus of stress in hydro.

I’m about to be the new plug
Came here looking for A-level biology, went away with ganja gains.
I waited till the roots almost filled the cup. About 75% roots and it took me 21 days. Transplanted at day 21 and now im in the veg stage. Ill wait till its about 5 nodes high and then tie down for lst. Lst for autos . Grow 2 autos while 2 are photos are flowering in a different room . 4 plants at a time. Cant wait till next grow.
