Why are there no cannabis Autoflower clones

Why are there no Cannabis Autoflower Clones?
Professor DeBacco
It is Possible…
Cloning an Autoflower is possible, but the resulting plant will flower much to early to produce any viable yield.
Why is this the case?
Cloning Does Not Reset the Plants “Clock”
The clone follows the timeline as the mother/stock plant
Meaning if the mother/stock autoflower plant takes 10 weeks from seed to flower and you clone it on week 6 the clone will be in harvest mode in only 4 weeks.
With the stress of the cloning process this will result in minimal yields.
Autoflowers Are Based on Days Old
Once the plant emerges the clock starts on an autoflower
So, if you clone the plant material it is still x days old, the cloning process does not cause the plant to start from day 1 again
Instead it keeps counting
This is why clones from autoflowers are not going to be worthwhile for total yield.
Is There A Situation for Cloned Autoflowers?
Isolated cases for potential breeding of lineages, but this does not pertain to very many growers.

Might be assuming incorrectly here, I have zero experience and really just find the subject fascinating, but this seems ideal for someone doing STS treatment to collect fem pollen without having to sacrifice much yield, no?
The birthday cake is so cute 🎂
I have 4 growing

I always watch your videos when I’m tryna learn about something, short sweet and to the point I love it. I also appreciate that you don’t try to sell companies lights/tents. Just the science w you man 🙌
Would cloning the hole plant maybe more distribution and just keep the original top lol really I was going too try next auto batch
I would say there is absolutely no reason to try to clone autos, particularly for breeding, because no real differences/distinctions in phenotype are visible at the early stage needed to get a reliable clone.
While growing at lower temps in combination with plant growth regulators may be possible to clone from autos, it’s unlikely to produce an adequate number of clones for any real reason, and the parameters are probably so narrow between temps, titration of hormones, and growth and shock that a real laboratory would be necessary.
The lifecycle is to short.. best advice I can pass along is… let them grow out naturally… cloning autoflowers uses up to much of the plants lifecycle by trying to grow roots and not grow bigger buds
I heard you can harvest like 90% of the autoflower and leave the rest to age until it dies. They claim they plant will self pollinate. Is this true? And if so is it an inferiori genetic as a self pollinated seed?
What about cloning autos by the bunch at the very beginning of veg stage? Would that be a viable way of cloning autos and getting a decent yield?
