Taxes sucks for California if you are only trying to be bud tender and only bud tender you will not rise nor make shit if you don’t have the knowledge on cannabis hence know how to grow farm work again if you don’t know the industry you will quit you have to have a passion with horticultural science and networking and mean networking outside your state and or country I feel like if your an average bud tender hence yourself you won’t go far if you don’t know the science and your content with your state or lifestyle you won’t go far in the industry long story short for the bud tenders that know their science and they aren’t trying to live dumb and young cannabis industry won’t be a career but if you have a strong passion there county’s and states you can work for but that if your serious Again this Apply’s to only serious people passionate about the industry not a bs Cali bud tender

That’s crazy that the workers can get in trouble what if they really don’t know that the shop is illegal I mean I guess you got to look for the red flags right

Hi , I have a decade in the industry. I’ve worked every position in a dispensary , except guard. As a budtender my starting Pay was $14 /hr back in 2014, making $70 – $150 in tips a day . As a manager i was making $30 + and as a gm I got paid salary , about 4K before taxes every 2 weeks and had medical benefits here in LA . i actually found it quite easy to move up the ladder. It’s all about who you work for and your position and what you have to offer .

Ive been a budtender in Oklahoma since the beginning of the year. I’ve worked at 2 dispos and both are different from each other and also different from yours. My first dispo I started at $10 an hour then got a raise to $11. We got paid in cash weekly and didn’t have to split tips. On a slow day I made about $15 and on average maybe $20-30 in tips. We only split curb side tips when rona started. My new shop i get paid $10 an hour, we split tips, and it’s direct deposit with taxes taken out. I definitely miss not splitting hahaha

Just got offered 18 an hour to do packing full time plus benefits and direct deposit in the Bay Area. Seems like a prime job, but I havent read a single good review about the leadership. Thanks for the video.

Do you remember how long it took you to start? I got a contingency offer based on my background check and it’s taking them over a month to give me my start date..

To answer your question, I just got a job offer for $15 an hour + tips in Michigan

Benefits kinda sucks, but you can buy those yourself. 401k is a joke anyway. You do not have to pay cash tips taxes only taxes on cards. Also you’re missing out on all the discounts and promotion of smoking weed which 9-5 would never do. Make your own dispensary if you wanna work your own schedule. Bad idea to leave the dispensary though with all those discounts . Disliked this so it doesn’t pop up on other peoples YouTube we need to promote working at them not tell people to avoid it

I’m glad you did this! I’ve been thinking of applying for a few delivery services around here 🤔

  19. aniya e on June 6, 2022 at 4:07 am

Instead if anybody still wants a position in the cannabis industry, try being a packer/trimmer. At most places, you get paid more than the actual dispensary workers, and you get tons of benefits😘 with a shit ton less of work

I worked at Mary Janes for a couples weeks until they’re fired me for supposedly stealing a $15 banger. Im pretty sure a co worker was the 🐀, he felt threatened by my sales. Anyways, I got another job managing a rec store @$15hr and a month and a half later, I got a raise to $17 , and I got another day which put me @40hrs. I make over $2k net. Not bad at all.
