Australian government hard on drugs, Australian government join the drugs trade to make money
Instead of some large company making huge profits off of cannabis why not have Mum and Dad businesses growing to spread the wealth around of this emerging product. With Drug and alcohol testing on the roads and work places why not just legalise pot and Tax its sale to offset the declining revenue from dwindling tobacco and petrol taxes. It’s safer than alcohol or should we just ban all drugs which includes alcohol, coffee, tea etc? As a added point the Australian Government receives 8 billion dollars a year from tobacco taxes from which 250 million is used for cancer related medical treatments that leaves $7.750.000.000 for the government to do with as they wish. I fully realise it’s not as simple as I put it but someone somewhere in Government with two brain cells could come up with a solution so it benefits, not just people who need cannabis for medical reasons but also creating opportunities for small business instead of big pharma taking our money overseas.

This is going to help so many people but how are people on the pension able to purchase this stuff ? Not to mention the system does not have any bulk billed doctor’s which costs almost 120$ per doctor appointment just to get a script or to give them a update. Not mention the waiting time for the TGA approvals and all application fees.. think about the people who need it but can’t work for a full-time wage due to work related injuries or born defects etc and just medically need it. and they have to fork out alot of money to be able to gain this medication, How are they meant to even get into this scheme. I think they need to look into fully legalizing full aspects to be able to grow your own on certain regulations here in australia. That way people can consume and produce on a small scale there own natural medication for " self medication purposes only"

The ideal solution for ultimate healthy longevity is to go fully VEGAN and take Cannabis Supplementation to boost your damaged Endocannabinoid System until you are better (maybe 2 years or so) while getting all vegetable seed extract, typical industrially refined cooking oils out of your diet. You certainly can use some polysaturated animal food-based oil/fat, that is in all animal products if you are not quite so ill or worried about living as long as reasonably possible while remaining perfectly healthy. Why would you pay 90k a yr for something that literally grows like a weed? Imagine paying 90k a year for dandelions or clover. This is the perfect example of why you shouldn’t let government get too big. Infrastructure and defence is all we need from them, when it costs 90k a year to get medicine you could safely and easily grow yourself, you are not even close to living in a free society.
