Landlords getting their greedy ass treated. I’m sure the business put more expensive doors, security doors on, so they just took their doors with them

Basically the landlord Apu was getting greedy and wanted to raise the rent.
The store owner didn’t pay rent and left. They also removed the item they put into the building to upgrade the it and to fit the what they needed for their store.
Apu over there didn’t explain to the news people and the world that the $30k in damage was $30k the store owner put into upgrading and renovating the space to their store’s needs.
Apu is just mad now that he is back to square one where he started before he rented it out (a empty and dirty hole in a wall). He is lucky the store owner left the wall they put up still standing.
I’m not say the store was in the right but they as hell wasn’t in the wrong for taking "Their Property" before they left. Apu is majority at fault for being a greedy bastard in the first place.

  6. MeoMiyo on May 15, 2022 at 6:44 pm

Greedy landlord. He thought he could get more rent from them.

  7. Chorkaloopa on May 15, 2022 at 6:47 pm

Gotta wonder by how much was the rent increasing. And without seeing the terms of the lease, opinions on whether the tenant was right/wrong to take the interior doors with them is speculation. There’s more to this than meets the eye.

  8. Grunge Era on May 15, 2022 at 6:48 pm

The victims here is the business the aggressor was the landlord who raised the rent to an ungodly amount. He got what he deserved. I hope homeless people move in. They should’ve paid people to set up tents out front when they left

  9. Jacob Kopp on May 15, 2022 at 6:49 pm

It’s a one sided story- aka shitty reporting. So why did they stop paying in the middle of the negotiations? An obvious? Didn’t want to upset the slumlord? I see.

  10. mark on May 15, 2022 at 6:49 pm

I was there like 6 weeks ago lmao

  11. Brian S. on May 15, 2022 at 6:52 pm

Property owners don’t need to get insurance? Interesting…..

  12. Breeda on May 15, 2022 at 6:53 pm

Wish I could get all the incentives like this in my own country. I’d write a full thesis on my business aspirations. Hoping to own rental property. Do I get a grant?

Ahh the world we live in is a conundrum of corrupt legalities.

Immigrants who arrived in the United States with aspirations to start their own business can taken advantage of a number of grants and loans. These include business development grants, as well as discretionary business grants from the Department of Health and Human Services.

Must be nice to get grants taxpayers pay for. Swindling citizens at the pump & at a register. Sometimes equipped with their own in house credit skimmers.

  13. Gregory Carmona on May 15, 2022 at 6:53 pm

Property manager is just upset he didn’t get the free upgrades when they left.

  14. Paul Redner on May 15, 2022 at 6:55 pm

  15. Michael Scott on May 15, 2022 at 6:56 pm

you know he jacked up their rent and they didnt wanna pay its what he gets. I mean just look at him he looks like a slum loard

  16. Joshua Piatt on May 15, 2022 at 6:59 pm

So they got evicted and took their own stuff with them? What exactly is the problem here? The space probably looks just like it did when they rented it

  17. Francis Shot-gunn on May 15, 2022 at 7:00 pm

Lol u know damn well kumar was trying to fleece them

  18. Devils Emissary on May 15, 2022 at 7:00 pm

This is corny. The dispensary owners paid for all that work. Why should anyone else reap rewards for someone elses work?

  19. Jeremy S on May 15, 2022 at 7:01 pm

last I checked commercial property doesn’t come with counter tops and rarely built to what the business wants. unless this guy can show us that his property management built it out for them. then them doors are the business property. 🤪

I would destroy it to. No foreigner should own property in the USA

  23. Gone Racin on May 15, 2022 at 7:10 pm

Dispensaries sell bud that rivals the weed being shipped through the sewers from mexico. They pay for fake reviews to boost sales and claim to sell top shelf but their bud shouldn’t even be on a shelf. It should be used to kill rodents.

  24. Michael Schaller on May 15, 2022 at 7:10 pm

Oh yea im sure he was an up and up landlord .

  25. XPNDBLhero on May 15, 2022 at 7:11 pm

This is a fkn disgrace to the cannabis industry….. Even if the owner was being a dick about it and demanding more money they could have at least worked something out or just bought the building. SMH

  29. Reg Allaby on May 15, 2022 at 7:12 pm

30gs no fuqn waaaay… and kumar or whatever had a motive behind this for them to be that pissed… the second side of the story has not been heard. They probably didnt answer the news outlet because they are seeking a lawyer

  30. Bilyboy on May 15, 2022 at 7:13 pm

So I moved into a house years ago it was missing some doors and a few other things like the fridge that the homeowner never did provide that I ended up providing myself and when I moved out I took all the things I provided with me and they tried to sue me as well as you can probably imagine they didn’t get anything and I ended up countering and won for lost wages and lawyer fees

  31. ConwayTruckload on May 15, 2022 at 7:13 pm

  36. Cole Train on May 15, 2022 at 7:20 pm

Their parents felt the same pain after kicking them out of the basement…just because you legalize the drug, DON’T expect the users to be "straight and narrow"….can’t blame the snake for striking out, it’s in his nature.

  37. Corvus Remalius on May 15, 2022 at 7:21 pm

If they paid for security with their own pocket change, it’s not damage. Indian guy is full of sh#t.

  38. Robert Walls on May 15, 2022 at 7:24 pm

Typical behavior from victim minded dipshits who take it out on others when they can’t live up to their end of a contract.

  39. Antdom8302 on May 15, 2022 at 7:24 pm

I live 5 mins down the street from that dispensary 😂😂💀💀 I went there one time because they had indoor for 20$

  40. Diogenes Yeiw Tewb Reviewer on May 15, 2022 at 7:26 pm

Sometimes I Hate seeing both sides of an argument . Yes , ANY upgrades become property of the LANDLORD so he has grounds to sue . Personally I would have applied the balance of the unpaid rent towards the price of the upgrades and called it a wash . If that was not an option then the doors would be in my yard sale . ONE of those minor details that anyone who has dealt with renting/leasing MIGHT know if they checked into things .

  41. Vivec on May 15, 2022 at 7:34 pm

"They took the door with them"

  42. Vito Ruffalo on May 15, 2022 at 7:34 pm

It doesn’t look any different than any other vacant commercial property

  43. P2055516 on May 15, 2022 at 7:34 pm

I’ve rented many commercial buildings. You move into a dingy, dirty spot. You upgrade the location and then the landlord raises the rent accordingly. Those dope guys probably saved enough for a down payment and bought a building somewhere else.

  44. Michael Blanchette on May 15, 2022 at 7:35 pm

  47. Juan Bait on May 15, 2022 at 7:36 pm

Between this guys rent and the 50% tax on sales and the cost of living, california has been terrible for dispensaries they are all leaving for better states.
