The Potential Benefits of Medical Marijuana | Dr. Alan Shackelford | TEDxCincinnati

Medical marijuana isn’t devil weed or the cure for everything. Find out what it really is, and what it can really do. Dr.Alan Shackelford shows us. I run a Facebook page with same name normalizing medical marijuana and motherhood. I have had debilitating migraines as a long as I can remember. I was lucky in some ways and not so much in others….I self medicated for 20 years fighting my doctors in the 90s in a still non legal state. I moved to a legal state to save my life and never looked back…. Marijuana makes me feel normal and I think thats what people don’t get…. Im chemically imbalanced in one way or another and out of more than a dozen different meds marijuana is what works for me….why should I be criminalized for it ???? Keep fighting until the day I die.

The Cannabis plant needs to be decriminalized. And the people who make these illegal laws that cause more harm to families rather than good need to be removed and punished. The dea is the real criminals, their actions have destroyed families, through their abuse.

People are uneducated. Marijuana is not harmful…. More safe than a damn horse tranquilizer Jesus. Or any narcotics

Marijuana is mentioned in Ayurveda and in very few temples it is given as Prasad to Shiva devotees at a temple in Karnataka, India.

I was close to ending my life before I found this. I can now spend all day feeling my whole body instead of just the pain. I can feel myself, my whole body. I am less anxious and I can sleep. This gave me life.

  20. AA EE on May 27, 2022 at 10:13 am

Guys, i need a lil help. I am 16 years old, i got ADHD, anxiety and smoke weed. I really dont feel any negative effects except short term memory loss and a little laziness, even if i had problems with my memory before i started smoking. Its really not hard for me to take tolerance breaks i can go on for months without any real problems but I told myself that i will quit weed until i get atleast 18, maybe even 20 or 25. Ive heard its pretty bad for teenage brains so im trying to stay away from that and its going pretty good, no problems so far and im about 2 months in. I have also heard that it can be good for some people and bad for some because weed is such a special drug and affects everyone differently. I just wanna know if weed is for me and if its actually going to help me, or if its just tricking my mind just to use it for fun and not for the medicinal purposes. Dont get me wrong, i love being high and i smoke sometimes for the fun of it, but i also smoke for the medicinal purposes such as sleeping better, calming down/relaxing and get my focus up. If its not for me and its actually tricking my mind, ill quit for sure, but if there is positive effects, ill stay to it. I just dont know how to identify if its good for me or not. Anyone who know if it would be beneficial for me, or not? Looking for real answers, even if its the sad truth. Thank you for your time.

I’ve used medical cannabis for about 10 years now for type 1 bipolar disorder. Thanks to medical cannabis I no longer need lithium or the other plethora of pills they would throw at me. I went from multiple manias a day to where now my manias have been reduced to once every few months. Not only that is the symptoms have become less extreme and more manageable. It’s not a cure but it definitely serves a great purpose. Plus I would rather use something natural and effective vs taking pills.

The term doctor means nothing. Is he an MD, a PhD a PsyD? And what is his speciality? Neurology, psychiatry? This needs to be explained UPFRONTt. What is his background?

We have come to a stage where we are not sure what to believe. What if this presentation is sponsored by CBD companies ? As I write in May of 2022 the cannabis industry has reached to 25 billion dollars. I am going to try it anyway.

I use it to control my thyroid, graves and my heart. It relieves stress and anxiety but it’s still illegal and medically it’s not even recognized as treatment when my doctors have all agreed the only reason why I’m still alive today is because I used illegally and still do. This is not a mistake or an oversight, our lives simply do not matter to corrupted politicians who understand the benefits marijuana offers. It’s just Pathetic…

The problem with this report is that no references are given. what study? Who are the authors? and when was it done? Where was it published? This could all be fake.
